I was wondering if there was an RPM of BZWorkbench for Fedora 8. If there is, could somebody point me to it? If not, could somebody please make one? I would greatly appreciate any help.

No, it isn't weird. Linux is just far superior to Windows in all ways. Especially Fedora. Fedora is great! Linux is not superior in all ways. While stability and the 'free' price tag is really nice, it's not prefect for everything. No operating system is perfect, and they all have things they do be...

I have the mouse box huge, the radar big and not transparent, and lines trailing the shots. I guess I didn't need to say that, because the picture is right here. Also, in case you're wondering, the map is the one I'm making now.
What is a packet sniffer?> At the very least you will need to be able to read C++, because the game protocol is not really documented.

Or get out a packet sniffer
I don't know any of those languages you listed. Also, I have some nice books on Python already. I will probably just start from scratch and make a program that can do all the functions of the current BZAdmin, but make it have a nice GUI. As I said before, it will be a long time until I can start, so...
The problem is that I already know some Python and don't really want to learn C++. Plus, if they could make a BZFlag client with Python that allows you to play the game, then it shouldn't be too hard to make one that just allows you to change server variables and chat. I might even try using C++, bu...
In 2005, RPG said that they should make a GUI for BZAdmin. I agree with him, and once I learn enough Python, I will try to make this improved GUI. I know it will take a lot of work, and I probably won't even know enough Python for about a year or so to even try to start. However, when I know enough,...
PZ as a flag is pretty specialized, and its "special" properties aren't generally that useful. To be honest, I'd rather it be dropped from the game. Agreed. The only thing I've ever seen it properly used for is the zombie mode, and to be honest that was too complicated to really catch on. I know so...
You went two years without playing BZFlag?!?! I doubt I could make it a week! Welcome back.the obvious trap wrote:I don't know if you people know/remember me, but I've disappeared for the past year and a half/two years..
And now I've decided to hop back into the game!
I probably suck now, but whatever!

I use a really, really old Logitech cordless mouse. It often malfunctions, but I still like it more than corded mice. For some reason, the cord always caught on stuff and made it hard for the mouse to stay still.
