as far as racing goes, force-give everyone a SR flag. There is a bug (don't know if it's fixed yet or not) that if 2 SRs collide, sometimes only one will explode. Other then that, it gives the race "accudents" just like in real life.

IF the tanks do get "substance" would they climb on top of each other without jumping if _bumpHeight is set high enough?

yeah, gecko, i did. to make it neater i taped the fabric (a 14 by 20 piece) to my screen, opened the flag texture from BZFlag, and traced it onto the fabric with a pencil. use several smaller maps surrounded by thir own skyboxes. place those smaller maps on one big one, link them with teles. this will be the best way because,like joevano said, server-to-server links are not as great as they sound.

one possible option will be to use "quick keys" type deal, but instead of just words on screen it will be voice (think of Counter Strike voice commands). This should not increase lag, or at least not as bad as actual voice chat. I do not see a particular advantage for doing that though.

Mrapple: turret zones/weapons are on the bottom of the file, hard to miss. Options are on top.

i went on mofo and noticed that the outside ("brick") mesh on the center cake is moved on at least one corner. that makes a hole that lets you see inside the cake. is it a bug, or a new map feature? i saw the hole on the east side of the cake, by the way.

if you want voice chat, get something like MSN messenger, and use it's "voice chat" feature while on BZFlag. sure, your lag will skyrocket (unless you got good connection), but who cares! you can hear when half a dozen of your teammates yell "help!" at the same time in 6 different languages! lol

should this be a "physics" driver as well? i mean, you would be able to use/upload different noises when the object is touched (or driven on), and put in a line of cobe in map file like you do with any other physics

mesh is technically a one-sided plane. It has texture on one side (also it's "solid" on one side). The other side is drive/shootthrough, and clear. In other words, there is no way to tell the mesh is there if you look at it from the "back". i'm not sure about how to turn a mesh face around in Wings ...

LL, make a simple mesh cube with drivethrough top. Then make another mesh cube about 0.01 smaller then the first one, sides inverted, shootthrought, no top. Put the smaller cube into the larger one. That should do it.

spawn zones for team flags are "size 1 1 1" over the centers of bases. I'm havibg same problem with GM flags in the "two bombers" (work in progress) that Mudsquisher wanted so much.
