Do you have any parental control apps on your computer or do you have Windows firewall turned on? Sounds like something is blocking BZFlag from connecting to the internet

Servers can already be filtered as of 2.4.x. There's also the ability to add servers to your "favorites," which means they'll be highlighted for you.

Lag or language policies aren't reported to the server list, you'd have to write filters for the servers you find manually.
