By project do you mean league connect?

It was kind of dead before it started. Don't really have time for it now that school has started anyways.

Re: should BZWC become a league?

About managing perms, bans, reporting scores... well a nice plugin can automate so much things you know ? If I remember right, you made a plugin like this. Right Murielle? Would you be willing to share it (and your webleague mods) with BZWC? If so that would be cool and give the league a better cha...

Re: Crazy CTF BZFlag Server

There are many free hosts out there. As for your map, It's just a server generated map, which anyone can host. If you really feel the need, you could probably find some free host willing to host a random map with your settings. It would require you to have bots on it at all times. Without bots, it w...

Might want to at least give credit for that in the map file and -srvmsg.

You can never give to much credit, but you can give to little.

Re: should BZWC become a league?

My opinion: no. Right now, there are a ton of leagues for people to play in. We don't really need another league. I say you leave the map up for people to play on freely when they want and do a BZWC match next year. If that seems to long, you could even do it once every 4 months? Just some thoughts,...

I play on a 15" MacbookPro (2007) that is hooked up to a 22'" monitor via DVI. Laptop specs: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 800 MHz 3MB L2 cache 2 GB DDR2 RAM 500GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive Operating system is Snow Leopard (10.6.4) and I compile my own BZFlag client. As for hosting, Ubuntu 10.04 ...

Re: Some other wallpapers

You should run a local (non-public, or different protocol string) server for that sort of thing. However.. that's neat and funny. :) Agreed. However, want to post your code? Be great to see how you did this! Also, are other clients able to see your tank tilting and turning or would this require all...

Re: Administrator

Also, in game, if you type /? you get a list of commands. Most of the times if you type the command without any arguments, you'll get a little instruction guide. This isn't the case with every command, for example: /part, /lagstats, /lagwarn, etc.

Re: Artwork Refresh for BZFlag

One word: awesome. Only a few things. Only seeing ParticleSystem, not ParticleSceneNod. As for the diff, its pretty simple. Heres a mini instruction guide: 1. Run the command "svn co https://bzflag.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/bzflag/branches/v2_0branch/bzflag bzflag_particle_mod" 2. Apply ...

edited to remove complaints against specific admins If you have a problem with an admin, pm them here on the board. If they are no use and you feel further need to pursue the issue, pm the server owner on which you were banned. 99% of the time, admins are banning for the right reason. On the rare o...

Re: Polls

Actually, its /poll flagreset <reason>.

You need to give a reason why you want to reset the flags.

(You can just type /poll flagreset all, but if you type something like /poll flagreset team flag was run, it will give users a better idea of whats going on)

Re: Zombies vs Humans map version idea

To complicated. Sure its possible and code-able, but, when people join the server to play "Zombies vs Humans", let them play. The reason the map is called "Zombies vs. Humans" is because that is what it is. It's not called "Zombies vs. Humans ::: And a Little FFA" or &q...

Re: Screenshots of BZFlag Bugs

On the first screenie I see you were on Zombies vs. Humans. One problem that I've only come across once (twice now it looks like) is where the plugin will mess-up and add a person incorrectly. As you can see here, it added someone to the observer team but forgot to assign any player data to the tank...

Re: Game mode suggestion: Humans vs Zombies

Actally from what I've heard it's mostly even. It kind of depends on the skill level of each team. Sometimes more skilled players get on the zombie team a few times in a row and set the zombies on a winning streak. I've been on the server a few times where the humans have won a few in a row too. Rig...

Re: Contact an Admin

The common ways of getting immediate administrative help on a server is to ask for a privileged person on other servers, success is more likely if you know how to ask. Secondly you can try to find someone via the IRC (irc.freenode.org #bzflag, #bzflag-chat or the channel of the particular server ne...

Re: don't let BZFlag die

It would be good for global groups to move out of the forum system. I imagine it to be a complex system now. Very true indeed. Blast has written up two articles: http://my.bzflag.org/w/Group_Management_System laying out the group management system and http://my.bzflag.org/w/Web_Services/Player_Port...

Re: Contact an Admin

The correct forum would probably be http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewforum.php?f=30

Anyways, the best way to get in contact if there is no admin on is to leave a /report on the server (In game press 'n', type /report <message> where <message> is your concern)

Re: Game mode suggestion: Humans vs Zombies

You may consider adding a feature to the plug-in that makes the game default to normal when there are not enough players. Then gives them a countdown to when a zombie game starts when there is enough. I was actually considering this. Rogues could just move around and shoot until the countdown begin...
