first off, it sounds like the "3rd one which worked" is an older version. The most recent version/s - 1.10.* - break backwords compatibility. Now, in order for anybody to help you if that first comment doesn't provide a fix, please state what O.S. and what version of BZ you got working. wi...

bzflag now supports screen shots as of 1.10.3, just hit F7 is this a Windows thing or what? F7 in 1.10.3 (linux) "appears" to do nothing - might be saving a screenshot somewhere on my system, just not telling me where it is. Nothing happens to indicate it is taking a screenshot though. cu...

Howdy Trojan! long time no see! Yeah, there is a new bunch of players out there - and as usual, everybody needs to learn how to spot true cheaters again. This is still happening, even a year later (seems like a year or so since I last saw you) Even an experienced bz'er/admin can sometimes make the m...

hide the mouse pointer? Bz has never done that on my system...even with version 1.10.2

running Mandrake 9.2

is there something we are missing? I wouldn't mind being able to hide my mouse cursor while playing bz...just have gotten used to it

bots are client side - just start bz like this;
bzflag -solo 8

that will start your bz client with up to 8 robots...providing your connection to what ever server you go to can handle 8 robots plus your tank connection (9 total)

hehe, not good idea to slam them....after all, bz is more in tune with *nix than it will ever be for M$ products.

I for one, refuse to accept what M$ offers for an O.S. - thus Billy Boy will not be getting any of my money any time soon.

Happy Holidays to all

that is a drag cougyr, the main reason I use fluxbox - even prefer it over XFce - is because of the speed my games run (used to be T2 and bzflag, but only for bz now). I am running 1.7g2 under linux and have noticed that super flags have text which is white as opposed to being the color of what ever team a tank is on. I don't see why one window manager would work while another one doesn't. I don't recall setting up anything different either with XF86Config-4 concerning Fluxbox. the server dosn't run bots, run a bzflag client with the -solo N command line, where N = the number of bots. when you log into a server you will get N bots that join with you. or run an instance of bzflag and hit 9 on the keyboard. um, doesn't the 9 key thing pertain to 1.10? I believe the bot stuff is client side...I don't think there is anything within the server part. Bots run with any O.S. (including mac's? - at least with Windows and Linux) Just run bzflag with the -solo XX option where XX equals the number of bots you desire - there is a optimal high-end limit on t...
