I don't like it, sorry. And I don't like to download textures which aren't used for esthetical reasons. And, you made me download textures which are plain color. Just use the 2.0 mapping features if you want lego-ish cubes. You *can* make meshes, or objects, or whatever with simple colors. You can e...

Edited: now I'm sure of what I'm saying. Hi, First, you don't need any brackets, but I guess you just messed up your copy/paste  vertex 100 100 1 <--- this I think is the height??? Vertex X Y Z, and yes, Z is up, so Z is the height. normal 0 0 1 <- this I dont know what it is This describes a ...

Thanks Jeff, it was the model that was too complex. Maybe a printf somewhere would help.

A sort of a Rabbit Chase with hunters and defenders. What do we do when the VIP is TK'ed ? Or blows himself up ? I suggest that when a bodyguard kills the VIP, both die as usual, but a new VIP is chosen from *the same team*. Same thing when VIP blews himself up. That adds some sort of strong comitme...

JeffM2501, according the the bzw man pages, "addtexture" adds a texture, "texture" sets the active texture. So according to those, we should write: material ... addtexture boxwall texture boxwall ... end Obviously there is no point in doing this, either line alone does the job. M...

Oh no, that wasn't my point. I don't think a hot potato gametype would be worth the hard work. A flag is fine. I can add it myself, provided I find a replacement compiler for VC6 on Windoze.
My point is: what do *you* think of the Hot Potato flag, in terms of fun and gameplay.

Thief bug in 2.0.0

Hi,
Yesterday on Tuxee, I had Thief.
I stole the Rabbit's Rapid Fire flag by pressing the button very fast, and just after I stole it's flag, and before the reload coutdown appeared, I fired one bullet. It's not supposed to happen, as commented in the code.

I just had an idea: the Hot Potato (bad) flag. If you get it, a 30 seconds coutdown (or more, server configurable) begins, and your tank becoms just as fast as when you have Thief. You can fire a little beam, with instant reload. Of course, you cannot drop the flag, except when you die. If you hit a...

The ability to "move the head" would counter the ST flag, making it far less fun to play.

Altitude hints are given by the radar, use it.

Valoche-admins, allow max 1 flap for WG, this flag ruins the fun

I'd say giants bullets with half the speed. You don't want to create a weapon that's too powerful. Those totally ruin the game.
Remember the fun in BZflag is tactics and skills, not the ability to find a good flag that will give you easy kills.

Hi, I'll put my 2 eurocents in  Do not remove SR, it's my favourite flag. As for spawn killers with SR, well, remove SW as well. What I love in SR is of humiliated you get when killed by SR. The useless flag is useless, it's not good nor bad, the only interest of this flag is to have it stolen...

Consider hearing only own tank engine, or state wether ST tanks should make engine noise.

1.10.8 Auto-kick for TK with geno -> crash

Hi,
On bzflag3.tuxee.net, I had geno, and unfortunately I blew myself up. Apparently the server has auto-kick for TK turned on, so I was booted. Problem is: game crashed.

Spawn bug with ST?

Hi,

Maybe it's not a bug, maybe it's not relevant, but the spawn logic does take every ennemy tanks into account, even if they have a ST flag. So when you spawn, you have little indication of where ennemy ST tanks are *not*. Comments?

Hi, I did not think about the whole CTF thing. This idea came up while I was playing Rabbit Chase. Obviously, it's no good one for CTF, unless we had a spawn invunerability feature. Let's say that after you spawn, you can't be killed for 5 seconds. If you shoot, of course, you immediately loose your...
