What if you drop a flag without dieing...? It should be possible to code the server to discover whether or not a tank drops a flag due to dieing, So it is possible to implement my idea without changing the server message for "manually dropped flags". It would also be nice to disable serve...

The descriptions of some servers include the name of the state, country, or continent where the server is placed.

If all server descriptions did this, then we wouldn't need a ping extension at all :)

It would be nice to have a plugin that caused rogues to drop their flag as soon as they picked up a geno flag. This way rogues could neither geno nor be genoed, but team players would still be able to geno each other.

Does this plugin exist?
Would it require a change in the protocol?

I think that spawning works OK, but it's always fun to nitpick. If I read the code in trunk correctly then a new tank can spawn facing directly at a nearby enemy. I tried both, but it works best, when I use my right hand for firing and jumping. I think that the fire button requires better reflexes than moving the tank around.

I would suggest to you to look for servers located at the west coast of North America. They are - compared to the alternatives - rather close to you. There is also a tool that ships with the source ( misc/pingtimes.sh ) that can be run on real operating systems and generates a sorted list of server...

I think that you could get the same game play by increasing the default radius of the steam roller. Right now the steam roller flag is lousy, but a beefed up steam roller could be fun to have.

EDIT: Instead of lousy I should probably have written ineffective.
