4) make sure there are there are no IP conflicts. Either disable your driver software or the general windows wireless driver. If both are enabled at the same time, ive had the problem that suddenly the IP gets "lost" and it takes about 20 sec until the network got reconnected. Very often a crappy r...

Snick: No, it is not every 5 minutes to the second, I was just giving a time frame of how often it was happening. What makes me think it is my router that's the problem is this; There are really 2 instances that happens. One is my lag will jump, and everyone on the screen will go NR for a second or ...

I'm not sure if it is just a crappy router or not. I was recommended to get this router when I was buying my laptop. It was also made for Windows Vista, so that shouldn't be the problem. I have a linksys Wireless N Broadband Router, WRT300N, version 1.1 . It is supposed to be a great router. FYI, I ...

I've done all the suggestions and still no go. I cannot think of what else there could be. I've changed the channel, updated firmware, etc. There is one thing though that has nothing to do with my wireless. Funnily enough, my computer will not let me install updated drivers from NVIDIA. My video dri...

Blast - I am extremely dumb about anything to do with computers and internet. Would you care to explain how I would go about doing that (pm or post would be fine) ts - I am fairly sure it is my wireless that is the problem. My router has been causing me problems since day 1, although when it works p...

Lag Jumps

I have a major issue with my lag. Every 5 minutes or so my lag will "jump". What happens is it goes up about 200ms and I lose packets. On my screen, everyone goes NR for a few seconds, then goes OK. People also jitter on the radar when my lag jumps. This is a huge problem for me and the people I pla...

Have you loaded the latest drivers from NVidia? The video drivers for vista are changing every few weeks as the manufacturers make them better. I just got a new laptop, and one of the main differences I've noticed while playing bzflag is that the screen is really jumpy/jittery. I have an HP running Windows Vista Home Premium Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz 2.00 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS All the components are excellent, so I just ...

Obviously it depends on the map and how focused you are, plus maybe who else is playing with you. On a normal day at borrego I'm 8-9, but if I am playing some of the best players, maybe a 3?

Your second problem has happened to me before, a lot actually. Usually I find out my internet is down or something. Basically, it is because you are lagging VERY high. Check your internet connection when this happens. I could, however, be wrong.

I had thought it was a joke until I saw that the date the Warzone-BZFlag merger on the bzflag.org homepage said March 31st. Plus with all the people insisting it was true, it was really starting to make me believe it was actually happening. Good joke guys and gals!

Ive always thought a seperate spot in your score to show how many flags you've captured would be a good idea...kinda like how it shows how many tk's you've had.

You're right , I've noticed as well that CTF servers are (for the most part) more FFA than CTF. But I don't think making your score higher when you or a teamie captures enemy flag is the right way to go about it. Your score is based on your kills and deaths , it doesn't have anything to do with capt...

Ricochet when it's possible. If they are infront of a building , i shoot at the building instead of them. They think i missed , and that they're safe for the moment. That is when they die from my ricochet off the building. :)

This was addressed in your post tokimi , but i would really like to get it out there; There are many good teams , with very good players on them. I do get bored of it sometimes , but this is only after i have been playing it for hours at a time.

Then , I find something else to do for a while , then when i come back it's fun for me again.

Dvn - perhaps it is getting boring to you because you don't play it too often?

Maybe players themselves could be recognized a bit more. I know on a lot of servers and/or websites, you can see what you're ranked overall , against everyone else who's ever played. Example: Silvercat website , shows top 11 people. M0f0 website , shows top 200 people. Gamesunited , shows everyone's...

Eventually , i branched out to pillbox , which is 3 shots , no jumping , no ricochet. From my ducati training , i began ...

I see a slight problem in this. Say two people get on an alliance on rouge. They are both sniping next to eachother (maybe with laser and GM , w/e seems to fit best for you). Well , one could just leave the alliance and shoot the person right next to you. However , if you really want a 'team' or an ...
