no I wasn't planning on adding teleporters.

the phantomzone flags are there because I just told the server to place 2 of every good flag randomly around on the map.

If you would like to you could modify the map and add teleporters, although I don't know where you would put them

I think that more file formats should be available. while png is higher quality and supports great transparency, jpg would work better for the larger images greatly reducing file size. while for gifs, the copyright restrictions have been lifted (if i am correct), would leave a much easier way to do ...

one difference I would like to see in 3.0 is the ability to us constructive solid geometry in map objects. for example: when one wants to make a wall with a square hole in it all that is needed is the wall and a box that is used to cut the hole. unless I am mistaken this is only currently possible w...

looks like the question I asked has many different answers.

In my opinion I tend to favor maps with little rico more fast paced, well spaced platforms for jumping, lots of flags, and good sniping positions.

I want to make a map that is fun to play on and has lasting value. What things do you look for in a good map? Please tell.

Examples:
Camping spots
lots of jumping places
lots of flags
few flags
textures
no textures
ect ect.

This may look like a bug, but it is most likely a programing shortcut just because ambient sounds may be easier to make than others. But I might be wrong, I haven't had time to actually start programing for BZF 3. Just a theory :? :turtle:

The PZ flag can also be used in capture the flag servers, where you get your self zoned and peacefull waltz a cross the battle field of chaos and then become unzoned near the enemy's flag.

too bad missile wars dosn't have it.

I have seen several flag suggestion sites and the modified shield flag is allways rejeceted. It would be nice to see some change to it in bzflag 3.

Ground Texture issue

I am developing a map and want to have the ground be a diffrent texture than the default grass.
I cant find the answer on the wiki, the forums, or even the code in other map files. Please help.

I can do this spinning jump move in mofo to get from the lower platform in the coner to the one right above it with any flag in mofo. I'm also good at base invasions in missile war.

I used to get negative scores alot but now im getting better.

I'm also working on setting up my own server :D
