Everything you need to know about testing and running a server is right here:
http://my.bzflag.org/w/Creating_A_Server

Awesome tank, but I think that someone must have too much time (and balloons) on their hands.

P.S. Wouldn't this be better off in the Screenshots & Artwork section?

Its a good map, but it could definitely use less open space. Make more hiding spots, especially those that can improve ricochet.

Most of the popular servers that are on the front page always, with...mindless killing and lasers involved (no flaming please, just an opinion) get a more hostile environment and the players there are less newb-friendly. Anyway congratulations on getting some kills and I hope you enjoy Bzflag. I lik...

The textures really made it look a lot better. It LOOKS relatively playable from the screenshots, but not a lot of cover.

From the Bzedit view it doesn't look terrible, but could definitely use some work. I have to agree with AHA on the Alter to the heavens block. And also, when I tried to log into it, it crashed my Bzflag client...

long time ago....memory fails me. I think it was something like a red vs. green ctf map without much junk in it and no flags..... I think you mean something like pillbox. That has no flags, not much "junk", and it definitely was CTF.   Either pillbox, or it could have b...

I would recommend using observer on roaming to take screenshots, and to turn off the radar with q and console with w first as well.

Its not a bad map..However, in regards to the textures, use observer mode and roaming instead of being as a player. It will give the people looking at the screenshots more of an idea of where everything fits in.

Just so you know, if your server is running on a version later than 2.0.9, you can apply a matref directly to a box or pyramid, without needing to make meshboxes or meshpyramids.
example:

box
position x y z
size x y z
rotation x
matref material_name_here
end

Here is my lasertag map, which isn't finished yet. I have to add a bit more to use up the empty space.
Please post screenshots. (Note- it is meant to have no radar and some fog)
