It's gone. It's history. Sorry.

I've got too many problems in my life right now to be playing around with this stuff. Sorry.

Curious about frame rates

Just wondering what sort of fps most people are getting these days. It seems that on MacOS X 10.3.x, I'm setting averages under 25fps, even with a fairly good quality 3d card (Radeon 9800 series). Is this normal and expected? The game plays pretty well like this, but I just figured this number was a...

In case you havn't noticed...

The server has been moved off my poor pokey DSL line (which actually did far better than I thought it would). It's now available on a good connection with increased player slots:

Yeah, I've heard he's getting around a bit. It's all good... but if he misbehaves, just know i'm innocent :)

Well... yeah... I know, "innocent" is not typically a word applied to me, but... you get my meaning.

Re: Auto-op on join?

If you use /password then there are no groups are have not been set properly. If you own the server then I can tell you how, but if not post here and PM me the server owner's name so I can contact them. :) Yes, I do own it. I thought I'd had all the groups setup correctly... One other thing I'm see...

Auto-op on join?

I'm probably missing something simple, but how does one get the client to automatically log me in as admin on join? I'm in the group, but must still use /password to authenticate for admin...

Time Stamping Events

Is it possible to timestamp events in bzadmin? I'm using this to log activity on the server, but without times, it's not really all that useful.
Thanks.

Thanks everyone who's stopped in and offered a lot of very nice comments. Looks like it worked out a little better than I thought, though I *did* start seeing too much lag when we got to about 10 players. I set the count down to 9 for now.... Next step, if I decide to keep this running: get a better...

shattered.dyndns.org:5154 running MadCity map for the time being. 10 player limit until a faster connection can be brought in here. NO WINGS on this server, so don't ask for them :) Anyway, can't guarantee this will stay up, and if it does, the map will likely change, so check it out, see if it's wo...

Naming Bots?

I must be missing something...

1) Can bots be run on a server from the server itself or does one need to load the client for this?

2) How does one specify the names for bots...?

Thanks.

I guess I'm so bizarre, I don't even fit most of those categories... maybe a greenie a little bit.

I've never been especially keen on being placed in boxes, though :) Padded rooms, maybe, but not boxes.

From losers.org:

They follow bands around their world tours. They follow every detail in actors' and actresses' lives. They brag about their obsessions with a certain kind of sick pride. They like inanimate things to the point of obsession.

Well, sort of.

Just in case you happen to see my callsign and it is NOT LOGGED IN, then it is NOT ME. Someone out there is an impostor. Last seen as "The Silent Swan"...

Does this mean I have groupies now?

what i'm saying is that while it is debatable whether games make kids violent, it is logical (probable, if not definite) that already violent kids might get ideas for further violence off games. Exactly: there must be something wrong to begin with. By claiming that video games, movies, books, whate...

On the subject in general, I am extremely against any censorship. I really disliked GTA because I did not like the idea of being a criminal. I would not however in a million years support the banning of it. If you don't like it, don't buy it, no ones is making you. If you don't want kids to have it...
