Re: X-Flash Fast-Paced CTF - by Bucko

NOTE: A bug was found with the team flags. If dropped correctly, they were able to spawn on top of the bases, out of reach. I have fixed this. Here is the update.

X-Flash Fast-Paced CTF - by Bucko

Here's my return to map-making - embodied in 8.9 KB of hand-coded, fast-moving, nerve-wracking glory. It's been a long time since I made a map, but I realized the error of my ways and put this together. Options block included, fully ready to run with no extra server arguments. Screenshots attached. ...

Re: Castles to Castles - A red versus green CTF

UPDATE: Flag safety zones were previously not working, I've fixed the problem. The team flags now spawn in the same place as the genocide flags. New version posted.

Castles to Castles - A red versus green CTF

This map's name was a play on the saying "Ashes to ashes" (Wild laughter! No? Polite chuckling? Still no? Okay, quiet breathing and a heartbeat? Thank you.). It is hand coded, and everything is ready. Please, do not add flags. I posted screenshots, but the map is too large to get it all in...

Hosts Not Hosting

I don't know if this is just me, or what, but it seems like hosts aren't hosting new maps much anymore. In the last few maps I've made, only one was hosted. :( So, tell me, is this just me, or are hosts not hosting?

The War Against Infinity - Part II

This is the second version of The War Against Infinity. Released under public domain. Same options block as the last one. The boxes along the sides are conveyor belts. The two sets of squares in the middle are drivethrough, except for the corner boxes. There are no flags, I would appreciate it if yo...

You can't move sketch-up models into BZEdit, because they are meshes. BZEdit does not support meshes.

ducatiwannabe: Thanks. I'll see about getting it hosted somewhere. *NOTE:* All flags are in the central building. I purposely did this so a player must decide whether to risk dying by trying to get a flag, or go along the outside without a flag. Please, feel free to comment, and I will consider ide...

I won't know how good its playability is until I test it, but it looks cool! I would assume the textures were added by hand coding? or was the entire map hand coded?

By the way, you will need to specify a license before anyone can host; see here ---creativecommons.org/licenses/publicdomain/

Imperial City Battleground

If you looked at this because you thought it tied in with Star Wars in any way, forget it. Get out of here. Vamoose. This is a hand coded map. a few Guided Missile flags, some Laser, lots of Stealth and Seer. Released under Public Domain. Host it if you like. No extra settings needed. Settings: -mp ...

A .BZW Idea...

Say, what if BZW mappers could do a statement something like this: define MyGroup1 refUrl http://www.SomeSite.com/BZWFiles/SomeMapFile.bzw enddef ...therefore pulling the code from that URL, building it in the map file, but not actuallly having it present in the map file. Is that possible? Because I...

Four Shafts FFA - Version 1.0

This is Four Shafts FFA 1.0. It is released under the Public Domain. Hand coded, textured, yada-yada-yada. A few bunkers on the outside for basic sniping; I say basic because there are no flags. This map's options are specified in an options block within the file, all you have to add is -public and ...
