Re: Rikers #4
Are the captains for this event already choosen? Not yet. Typically, admins will pick up two leaders for each side and they will be given full control of the organization of the event and selection of players, subs, etc. Also, as in previous editions, the captains would be preferably people who hav...

Just for the sake of clarification, NYCFinest is NOT the player formerly known as Drax.Gabriel G wrote:NYCFinest is probably Drax. That guy ran off, came back, told me who he was and told me to not tell anyone. Then he pissed me off so I told everyone and he ran away again.

Re: Bad behavior in official matches
didnt want to complain, just wanted to point out we can all behave badly certain conditions. and I certainly agree with you, just pointing that if you see a gu admin behaving badly, please let us know. We all can get "mad" at times, but admins should do it much less frequently than the av...

Re: Bad behavior in official matches
This kind of behaviour seems to happen also sometimes in matches involving gu admins, so i guess even they are not safe from frustration of loosing bad and suspicions. I should clarify that gu admins are mortal people like everyone else. You would expect they behave above average, and I think they ...

Re: Name/Callsign Changing
A word of warning about changing your callsign and then changing it back over short periods of time: If someone takes your usual name while you have it changed to something else, you have lost it... and it has happened to people before. I am no longer 'donny_baker', but I still have it registered s...

Re: name removed from talk spawn?
You have been removed by the league admins because we suspect you're hiding your real identity. We do not want cheaters, abusers, or trouble makers to get around bans and come back under a different identity. Removal from the spawn list is the only way we have to protect from unwanted people. You ar...

Re: Frequent name changes
Thanx Alex, we had this problem - with some special players - some months ago. The lost score / not entered match doesnt bother me. Its the recless behavior of this people and the unnecessary amount of work for the admins (as you described above). Indeed, pretty much the case, this is the biggest p...

You are absolutely right, and GU has always been known for being tough in dealing with language, accusations, and bad behaviour in general. Could you please send to any admin the match details or hints to find it in the recordings?
thank you

Correct. The purpose of the time limit is to allow you to play any remaining time that you have left in a postponed match. Official matches are 30 min only.red-der wrote:But the timelimit is usefull if you continue a match, zac.

Re: Official league match server..
A match can be anything from 2 Mb (for a 2vs2) to 6 Mb (for a 4vs4). Something above 7Mb is rare so I estimate 5Mb as a good average estimate. If you think of 2 matches per day on the NZ server on average you have 10 Mb per day, decide how much disk space you can spare and you got a rough estimate o...

Re: Official league match server..
Although I don't really see the immediate rush of making the server official - we've done without one for four years, a couple more weeks to test and make sure the server is stable shouldn't be a big deal. As I said, the server is up for testing only at the moment. I must admit that until two weeks...

Re: Official league match server..
Hello all, the server owner "Grans Remedy" has kindly offered a match server for GU located in NZ which we hope could solve the AUS/NZ lag problem. For some unknown reason the NZ/USA lag is not the same as USA/NZ , so American players lag less in this NZ server than NZ/AUS do in an A...

Congrats to the American team for their first cup !
I missed the games (will watch probably the replays) because it collided with my family time. Good job everyone involved in the day to day preparations and organization.

Re: Team Rating confusion.!??!
yes, I think saturos' explanation is most likely the case. It happens very often that matches are not entered in real time order. The team you tied had a (virtual) lower score at the time to play them, so once this was updated the system recalculates all the scores of teams who have matched them aft...
