I think the saying goes, "Practice makes perfect," which is entirely true in this case.
You won't learn unless you try. Recently someone did alot of work on the Editing by Hand wiki page.

Acutally, Propane: We haven't heard from Fooey for a while. I'm going to go PM him and see if he responds.
If he doesn't you could have his one 100x100 square

Re: Calling all Map Makers: The Collaborator 2010
Just finished discussing with Optic about Blaster Wisconsin's spot which apparently was actually a collab (a collab inside a collab, eh?). Blaster's spot was changed to Optic and the map at bzflag1.bzextreme.com:5170 has been updated. New graphic: (EDIT: http://s.bzextreme.com/98306792) http://s.bze...

My best guess is that it was playHistoryTracker plugin with sounds. Guess nothing ever came of it.

Re: Rat's Nest Map & Textures Released Under CC License
I have them. Not sure what license he released them or if they were ever released, but based on the fact he gave a link to them, I'll post them anyways. I also have some amazing tank textures, wall textures, and a caution texture too. Quite nice ones if you ask me. Download link: http://static.bzext...

Same, agreed with ducatiwannabe. Some browsers blank out the referrer even if you're not behind a proxy.

All I'm saying I couldn't find it as released or a certain license specified with it.
Always best to play it safe. Your call wether or not to host it.

Re: Observer Bolt?
Just checking my directory, the observer bolt is purple?! Weird, must've messed up some files when playing around with textures... Changing that back to normal. If I didn't have texture it would be a white box and probably display "couldn't find texture: observer_bolt" in the console. Upda...

Re: Observer Bolt?
Did some testing, here is what I came up with:
0 - Rogue
1 - Red
2 - Green
3 - Blue
4 - Purple
5 - Observer
6 - Rabbit
7 - Rogue (Maybe hunter?)
All the rest were rogue.
Obviously more testing and debugging should probably be done on the coding end of this.

Could've used a plugin to create that variable.
Last time I checked variables weren't just removed. This may be a special case however.

So if you turning off "Jump while typing" enables tab autocomplete?

Re: GU League Player Poll - 20 min matches
Personally, I think matches should either be 15 or 30 minutes. Easy numbers to remember and can either make for short and simple matches or a little more intense for those with more time. Also, if I may ask, why 20? Why not 15? (Divide 30 by 2 makes some sense I guess and just makes the most sense) ...

Not sure if that is allowed.
Don't think it was ever released under a license so hosting it without permission from the author would be a violation of copyright laws.

Use -public but then just add -advertise none.
This will still use the list server, but people won't be able to see it.
