Re: lua script notes

Thank you very much for the illumination. If I don't misunderstand you (as long as the Lua implementation is kept up-to-date in future) it's much more promising to implement all further BZFlag plug-in ideas in Lua because compared with regular C/C++ plug-ins you have more possibilities and code is w...

Re: autopilot

Use key "9" for a standard key mapping to turn on autopilot.
In some situations or on some servers (permanently) autopilot is disabled.

Re: Font woes

In case the default configuration file (generated when you rename/remove your current file) still causes this issue, try to add the following line into your configuration file: set useBitmapFontRenderer 1 This disables font rendering via texture meachanism. Even if this is working for you, I can't t...

Re: Chess compared with Games United League (HiX)

Sounds like a nice feature for leagues (no matter if for practice only or for official matches too). I'd suggest an uneven number of fields since many maps have "axes" defined by team bases or central objects ... but a grid for team movement coordination might be interesting. This might be...

Well done...thanks to blast and the others who were/are involved in this upgrade. Please don't forget to fix the case sensitivity issue for user names via weblogin. :o) Apropos: Will weblogin be replaced or supplemented by LDAP service and/or the account management daemon (GSOC'08 project "BZA...

Beside the forum search (as Jeff mentioned) and many web pages I'd suggest to check http://shellshock.bzflag.bz. Its contents are rather old and not really up-to-date (e.g. regarding available flags), but in my eyes it's one of the best resources for tips and tricks for non-experts.

The statistics table contains all shots/hits information your client collected since you are connected to the server. It's rather easy to interpret the columns...just have a look at the table header. It should be self-explaining. Player > player name Hit% > hit ratio in percent Total > number of tot...

As far as I can see you reached at least a score of +1005 before you left after 3h:34min. Your opponents/victims enjoyed your run too, I guess...well done... ;o)
