Re: moveing objects

I cannot code it myself yet, but i was stating how it could be done for anyone who has to code it. and the game state already has to be synced with the server. otherwise the tanks would be all over the place. if that is not what you meant, the moving objects would be controlled by the client. The se...

Re: my bzf-wish

You are right.

There does need to be more ways to find servers. Such as in the find server there should be a box on the side that displays servers where there is one player trying to attract attention. That way many more maps will be played

moveing objects

I have an idea for how to make movable objects in bzflag. They wuld work a lot like the current physics drivers. lets say we have a moving cube. while the object moves according to a predefined path it comes in contact with a tank. The direction the cube is moving is the front, if the tank hits the ...

Re: Wanted (as in the movie)

interesting thought,

though it would be rather confusing and what about those of us who play via keyboard, we only have 1 (2 if we are smart) turn speeds.

Re: my bzf-wish

now he has 2 choices ::: either he will adapt to the Laser AND GM Sniping technics (and keep those maps on top of the serverlist to repeat the same story for the next new bzflagger) or delete bzflag on his box. good point there to, but there are many non sniper style servers that are not GU maps. f...

Re: my bzf-wish

When I started playing BZ, MoFo and Badgerkings were the places I did well. Ducati/Hix servers were just a whole other level of playing. When I started playing there more frequently I did well there and continuously got worse at Mofo and Badgerkings. BZ has a parted playing community. One half does...

If older versions of windows aren't supported, then why are we so worried about bzf3 being compatible with older graphics cards?

Re: my bzf-wish

maybe for April fools week. But you would have to get all of the map hosters to cooperate. But I do agree. There are a lot of good maps online that are never played/discovered because of missile wars and the other maps at the top.

(Example:: louman's maps are almost forgotten at this point in time.)

I meant that the technology patent expired, gifs people created ARE still protected by their personal copyrights. As goes with all forms of media.

Although yes SVG would be wonderful. Websites would be using it now to if it wasn't for Internet Explorer and it's [insert derogatory statement here]

music

would it be practical to have background music? music would be imported by the server and defined in the map file. similar to the way a texture is imported for a material midi format would be ideal due to small size, but mp3 might work as well. there should also be an easily accessible off button fo...
