Re: Advertising my server :)
Google it. Prices may vary. I rented my first server when I was 16. It was a Link-3 VPS from VPSLink.com It's more than enough for hosting bzfs. I could host countless maps and I had 30 players on it without significant lag (location lag only). I've also hosted on their Link-2. Now I host with 3 dif...

Re: Spawn-killing
It's a map change server so you can use commands such as /mapchange /maplist /maprandom to view the list of maps available and to change the map and play on it.

Very nice map!!! I'm so glad to finally see a good map. The quality to quantity ratio is horrible nowadays.

Re: Help with saving *live* configuartion
So what I understand from this is...you want to save the server variables that you set in-game? You can't. Write them down and add them to the config file manually.

Re: Group Permissions Issue
It shouldn't...you should be getting some extra perms at least...
To be clear you're still doing all of this on a PUBLIC server?

Re: Group Permissions Issue
That's good. That means that now they groups have been properly assigned to you and the problem that remains is why the perms aren't being assigned.
Do /showperms and /groupperms if there is a list of permissions that shows up when you do both of them, then it should be working correctly.

Re: Group Permissions Issue
If the server isn't global the groups won't work because they aren't using the auth system. I would also suggest changing the !perm to a -perm. This will make it so the groups don't get the perm but you, the .owner will still receive the perms. Right now you have taken the perms from yourself.

If you join the server and do /grouplist and /showgroup what do you see? You should be in the groups if everything has been done correctly.

Re: Groups
There are two other groups: EVERYONE - this is every player registered or unregistered. VERIFIED - this is for registered users that have correctly identified. Then there are the groups you requested. I don't know why you requested the groups when you don't know what to do with them... You assign th...

Is that a question? Even I noticed that you say thank you after every one of your questions is answered. If your posts don't add anything important to the topic they will most likely get deleted.

Do you have proof of this? If you are the true creator, thank you for making such a simplistic and amazing map.

Re: Can GM kill ST?
While I was playing on bloodbath a while ago I was driving down the freeway platforms towards the opposing team's base and a player was on the ledge a few units above it, he had gm and I had st. He sprayed a few shots above me and they continued to go straight (no lock on anything) and I died becaus...

Re: How do I discern if a player cheats or no?
If the map has more than 6 shots some players can space out their spreads to make it seem like a never ending stream of bullets. This is done by precise timing. I have been banned for making it seem like I had MG when I didn't. Be careful

Make sure it's posted in the Map Releases section of these forums, with a license. There is a link to each license and a description in the Map Releases section at the top of the page in a sticky, it's kinda hard to miss

Re: hot to get flags to group
Use a zone to make the flags spawn in the areas you want them to. IIRC, /saveworld doesn't save the whole map file, only parts of it. I guess it left out the flag zones.

Delirious City by KTL
To start this off I would like to say, WOW. This is one of the few maps that literally makes my jaw drop. The detail put into this map is astonishing. What I would like to know is, how on earth did you make the sky branch out with the multicoloured branches?! That's just mind boggling. The map was r...

The quality is set to "Experimental" and his radar is zoomed in a lot. It only shows your little tank direction on the radar, noone else's.Mark_IV wrote: What radar is that, I want one that shoes tank direction.

Either bzfs config or in the options block of your map. I've been noticing that a lot of your questions have been answered on the forums before by other people or already in the wiki pages.

This will prevent players from spawning on their base after a cap or when they join the map as a player. Make sure the spawn zones are setup correctly to let whatever team spawn inside.
Code: Select all

Depends on so many variables...numbers of shots, players, flags, jumping, rico, etc. With the number of players increasing the amount of data increases exponentially. It's approximately 5kb per second per player.

You place it where ever you want, you just tell bzfs where the config is placed in the command line.
Ex. bzfs -conf /path/to/whateverYouNamedYourConfigFile.conf
Ex. bzfs -conf /path/to/whateverYouNamedYourConfigFile.conf
