Wiki being phased out
Please feel free to split this post to a new topic, as need be. The wiki is being phased out #1 Why is that happening? #2 Where will the info that is in the Wiki go, so people can lookup the info that they want to lookup AND OR help others without using these boards? For example if I wanted to know ...

Re: Archiving maps
While I like your idea, I just have to ask. Why not point them to https://wiki.bzflag.org/Main_Page and if they don't speak/read English, have them use Google translate (or something else like it) to translate it OR have the text in the Wiki pre translated? For example if you wanted to read about Lu...

While that looks good, unless I am missing something, it is only for computers running Windows - Not cross platform.
Just provide the source code and we will compile our selves.

Re: a new idea - capture the zones
The closest thing to what is being talked about, I point to Plug-in Releases -> All Hands On Deck (AHOD)
Capture the flag, bring it to the neutral base, and all of your other team mates must be also be at that base (zone) for a win.

Re: Plug-in request
While I am not a coder also, for your helpers to better help you it would be better to provide more info about your concept. Then users who can help you write the code, can provide a PM/IM to you with the code to do what you want to do if desired. For example if for some reason you do not want the c...

+1. Could you include how to message an individual player?... Been playing this game for 15 years and still don't know how to do it! :-) While waiting for them to include that on their site, it is by default (unless you changed it), the dot/period ( . the same key as the greater than sign > ) and th...

Add support for SQRL
#1 In case you have not heard/read about SQRL (Secure Quick Reliable Login) - I point you to https://www.grc.com/sqrl/sqrl.htm and as well to http://sqrl.pl/guide/ #2 I asked over NNTP at news.grc.com in the grc.sqrl area, in a thread titled: SQRL and NAT router question some questions including: c)...

Re: Named Flags
Map makers who want to remove that uncertainty can establish designated zones for specific types of flags. See the flagbuffet.bzw file in the BZFlag source tree for an example. Clever map makers can create appropriate signs for the zones so no one has to learn anything beyond how to read. Yes, but ...

#1 While I like it, I had to make the volume louder. For example if you listen to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6IxbRn8txY and then without changing the volume then you watch this other video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBBebIigmOk is louder. b) I do not know, maybe know you were a...

Re: Linux devs open up universal Ubuntu Snap packages to oth
Unknown for sure, please read the whole page. Here are some of the things that I noticed is/are. Snap, originally developed for Ubuntu's mobile flavor of Linux, is a way of packaging an application with all the dependencies it needs to run in isolation. This means it's easier to run on any device, a...

Re: Looking for testers of a networking tech demo
What OS are you still ruining 32 bit on? I didn't think that would be an issue. More than one computer. a) Talking about unsupported (security updates) on Windows: Have disk for Windows 98 something (98, 98SE), Installed & have disk for Windows ME, Installed & have disk for Windows XP, have...
