It shouldn't - they are just textures.

I have thought about rabbit chase (actually, it was my first thought) - perhaps I will run it as such in the near future. Or maybe someone else will host it as rabbit chase...

Thanks for the compliments! I used the texture red_basetop.png for the manhole covers (UV mapped to fit, and colored). By the way, I have removed the limits on the radar so that the whole map can be seen. I originally thought that it might be a good idea to limit the range of the radar, but it seems...

Metropolis

Attached is the bzw file and screenshots for a map I just released called Metropolis. It is a city layout with underground sewers, currently in beta test on louman.homelinux.net:5154.

The correct definition for the transparent pyramid should be: meshpyr position 360 -360 5 size 100 100 100 drivethrough matref ClearPyr end Note that I made it drivethrough instead of shootthrough - there was no way to get inside otherwise. I also changed the world size to 750 (which is actually 150...

Did you attach the correct .bzw file? When I run it, all of the sides appear to be ok, and the crosses are textured with brick instead of the teleporter material as shown in your screenie (see attached). I also did not see any sign of your jump pads. By the way, I generally define my own meshes usin...

Haus-zum-Haus

Gerbil, I set it up to host on my server, but I found some issues with the map when I played it. First, you were right - very heavy on the video card, I was down to around 30 fps, which is very slow for me (I am running a nvidia 5500 video card that normally gets around 60+). Also, the caution textu...

The server (currently) for the Bridges map is louman.homelinux.net:5154. Thumper also has it on rotation with other maps at his norang.ca servers.

What is the command you are issuing to bzfs? bzfs -conf "[path]\tester.conf"? If the filename for your conf is tester.conf.txt, you may want to remove the .txt extension from the filename. Also, if you add -dd to your .conf file, you should see more detail as to status of bzfs. It may poin...

Okay, I have lowered my flag blocking plane an it seems to be working. Please let me know if there are any more issues :) Thanks!

(BTW - I have forwarded the new bzw file to Thumper for update at norang - not sure when he'll get to it...)

It is being hosted at louman.homlinux.net:5154 right now. Grumbler - thanks for the info - I think I know how to fix this issue now. I placed an invisible plane (drivethrough) just above the peak of the bunker to prevent the team flag drops; evidently I need to place it at the same level as the lowe...

Not sure what you are describing- your tank got stuck? If so, this is entirely possible above the bunker due to the sharp angles of the geometry. If so, your solution was correct - hit "del" :( By the way, thanks to penguinix for the attached screenshot demonstrating the funky lasers

Flags inside mountain

Found the problem with the flags - in the original Bridges map, I had an inside coordinate defined for the mountain that I forgot to transfer to revision. Attached is corrected map.

Uh, no, not a feature. Any idea on how it got there (circumstances of the player that dropped it)? This is the first I have heard of a team flag on the ground.

Bridges Revision 3

Attached is Revision 3 of Bridges map. Changes due to player requests/comments: - Reduced size of 'slots' in upper buildings to prevent escape, but still allow shots from GM and laser. - Altered mountain geometry to prevent access to upper buildings by jumping from just below the buildings through t...

Island Hopping Map Revision 6.1

Attached is the latest revision Island Hopping map (R6.1). I discovered that a few of the polygons in the original map were not defined correctly and were not being displayed in the newer versions of BZFLag. This has been corrected in the new version, as well as cleaner texture mapping/smoothing for...

LegoLand Version 3

Attached is revision 3 of the LegoLand map. After some advice from trepan and TD-Linux (thank you, BTW) I have managed to manipulate the .png and .bzw files so that there are not so many textures to download. The revised map now only requires 15 file downloads (used to be 91) and only 15k of data (u...

I have run across the same issue - the textures aren't missing, they weren't all downloaded. I am assuming you are running a windows client like me; I think it's a bug with the client. I have found the following remedy for the time being: If you are missing a few textures after downloading, go to th...

Attached is Revision 2 of the LegoLand map. The only change from Revision 1 is moving Lego conveyors along the outside edges of the map (similar to Columns and Rivers, if anyone remembers that one  ) See screenshot for visual, but is best seen in motion on louman.homelinux.net:5154. Again, ple...
