You will see on the server list, one number that is just a number, no name
connect there.
#Try turning off the line that says "require udp"
cut your flags way down then restart.

You are now pubic!
That is the listserver, checking to see if you are still running.
You are now pubic.
Your life, outside of BZFlag, has just ended.
What is your upload speed?
I answered this back on page one.

Ancient Developer's Secret
If each of those 100 players went and got 100 more players...and then each of those 10,000..... It's restricted by the fact that it's only available from SourceForge. (SF) SF is pretty big, but not ultra-mega-huge, like my And most people are turned off by the fact it looks hard to run, when you are...

Evolution
I still say we go to the conf that I use. It's more complete, but has more commented out, it's bare-bones basic, which is what a newb needs. In your current sample conf, you need to uncomment one of the debug levels. Two people got our so-called help this week. here's the links. the first was a pro,...

Summary,
At first, it looked like he was pretty far along, announcing like that. I shoulda realized the announcement was all wrong. I Immediately see he is nowhere even close, and began warning that going public was not easy. Chasm, good word, CBG Now I see his other posts where he's making maps and realize ...

post the new conf
I don't have your new conf to check but.. you probably need to set port 5154 forward. Goto portforward.com, do alot of reading, Then select your modem, and follow the explicit directions there. This can be confusing, and an error here can scew up your whole modem, so follow the directions very caref...

CBG and I work together. we will help you. Just slow down. Your not giving us enough or correct information. First it's windows, now it's mac. I can tell you're more confused now than when you started. Making a server public is not something that should be taken lightly, it's a big step! I suggest y...

passed over
It's so basic that we sometimes pass right by it. the second paragraph in the conf # Enables inertia and sets the maximum linear and angular accelerations. # The units are somewhat arbitrary so you'll have to experiment to find # suitable values. The values must be non-negative and higher values # y...

CBG and Pants
There are four debug levels, you must use exactly one of them. Uncomment the single -d --remove the # otherwise it looks ok for a private server Going public is another entire set of problems, right now I'll have to say I'll get back to you. But you must enter your IP into the conf. and next time yo...

old enough
See just below any post you make, theres a little box that says profile.
It doesn't hurt if you put a little more info in there.
In the U.S.A. it's illegal to have you here if you are under 13 Y.O.

The conf file is exactly the same on all computers. The programs you use to work with the conf are different. This is something a freind of mine, SirPants, made. He made it for windows, then added the mac part at my request. Hope it helps. My experience is 100 percent mac. As far as I'm concerned, a...
