Texturing to match object size

Hi all I'm currently working on some texturing for an object, but I've noticed the texture pattern repeats or stretches oddly. I currently would like it to use the texture and have it be the size of the object. So the size of the texture does not matter, just the way it renders it. Like if I create ...

Re: API documentation

There is some documentation for the BZFlag API. (Link: www.bzflag.org/documentation/developer/ .) (Some of the documentation is still being created as far as I know.) Some somewhat older information which might not be up to date is available from the BZFlagWiki: wiki.bzflag.org/Category:BZFS_API_Doc...

Re: Mofo Plug's

There was a post on some plug-ins conflicting with each other, so this could be the case. It is a known bug that occurs when Airstrike is mixed with other plugins. There is a conflict because Killer Rabbit of Cearbannog specifically also uses SW, but I believe it also conflicts with Death Blossom an...

Have you tried using another keyboard?
I once had a flag dropping issue with the mouse, but turns out it was just the mouse which was going bad.

Re: A Bloodbath get together

It would be nice to play on Delirious City by KTL.
Not sure if anyone has an archive, but would be nice to see it up for an event.

Missile War 3 or 2.3 would be nice too. :)

-Zehra

p.s. Probably pretty unlikely, but maybe some old maps which haven't been hosted in a while (years) would be nice.

Re: Server Filtering

I'm thinking it can work like the silence list in a way.

So imagine being able to do this:

Code: Select all

set filteredServer0 "server-domain.com"
And having that server specifically not show on the list for oneself.
Depending on preferences, different servers can be filtered out.

Re: noradar

I don't think you can apply noradar to a 1.0 box without turning it into a meshbox. The main issue with that is when driving from mesh to non-mesh object or from non-mesh to mesh object. (Tanks seem to get stuck or something.) (I'm not sure if it is both or if it was one of them, but I remember this...

Re: A Bloodbath get together

Wow, it was a blast. Really nice turnout, it started slow, but quickly worked it's way up from there and almost all the players from the list were in a single server. :) Over 2 hours of lots of action and camping, wish I had recorded it, as it was amazing. Many thanks ZE BOZZ, I had a great time. :D...

Re: Collaborator 2018 - Bring Back A Classic Project

Some quick notes for map makers out there: It's going to be a FFA world, so don't add bases to your files.(A meshbox/mesh textured to look like a base is fine though.) I forgot to mention that also script/program generated maps are welcomed too. I'm also recommending that people place their callsign...

@Buzzy

The goal is not to search for which servers one wants, but to remove the ones someone does not want.

Server Filtering

I've thought over time of how people can filter servers, we can search for ones we want, but what if we could filter out the ones we don't want? It would make searching the list server much easier by providing a better way of searching. I'm thinking it would probably work somewhat like the silence l...

Re: How do I compile plugins?

One important question relating to all this though. How do I download and save plugins? I know it can be done, and is needed to load them, but I don't know how to do so. Thanks, Buzzy. You can download them from the forums or from GitHub or where they have been released. Just make sure to check whi...

By the way, which operating system are you using Mathiaz? If you are using Windows, there is some scripts I could provide which I've made over time. Example: @ECHO OFF ECHO Finding BZFlag cd C:\Program Files\[BZFlag version] @ECHO OFF ECHO If everything works properly we'll likely see BZFS give a me...

Re: Hosting

Hi Jacko,

You could try asking a few hosts for hosting a map.
Allejo seems to offer hosting, but you will have to contact him.
The Noah is another person who comes to mind, and has a web page offering hosting.

Hope this helps.

Re: Obtaining a key

It depends on the server you are going to create. Some servers will use default configurations and a /password, while others will rely on plug-ins and global groups. If you choose to run a public server, at very least I'd suggest loading the 'SuperUser' plug-in. Global groups tend to be a much bette...

Collaborator 2018 - Bring Back A Classic Project

Hi all, It has been years since the last one and I believe now it is an excellent time to bring back a classic project. The original started with 4 map makers creating a single map, which has different map making styles and ended up being amazing to play on as each was able to build and design at wi...

Re: Unexpected Disconnections by Servers and what to do if they happen.

I think I've seen a case or two where it takes much longer for the server to disconnect someone, especially when observer. If you are using an unregistered alias, it can take a while for the other one to disconnect, so usually adding a '.' to the end of the callsign is a way to avoid the wait time.(...

Re: Does BZFlag ever get boring?

BZFlag is a game like all games, but the good part is the amount of options provided for it. For me, it is the community which prevents BZFlag from getting boring. Sure, there is not as much excitement as before, but it basically depends on the community. If map makers stop making maps, if server ow...

Re: Flag Cap Counter & League Team Chat

@Indy, I'm not so sure about the first idea, since it would be league specific or mostly apply to leagues. (Maybe something else could be done via a plug-in? [End of match, player with most caps from each team is announced in public or team chat.]) But for the league team chat idea, this probably co...

Newsletter - Is it of interest to BZFlag?

Hi all, In a previous thread I've made, I started a blog, but now, I wish to add something new to it. I have thought for some time of making a newsletter, which I'll post on my blog with topics and highlights of BZFlag. I haven't made a final decision yet, so I'm interested in some input for the new...
