I like players who talk, because I always talk, and unless there's someone cool on (i.e. Big Bad Old Bucko, nn, tonywolfe121, Jefenry, drummaster01...) I don't usually get an answer. Talking always makes the game better (unless the chatter is cussing people out or spamming or other general nastiness...

I believe by pressing and holding the enter key (default fire key for keyboaders) you can make bursts too.

I was on a map once, and I tried to say "Blue Oyster Cult" and it bleeped out "Cult". I guess it thought I was saying the "C" word or something. And I think they're going a tad bit far in bleeping "crap". C'mon... CRAP? Why bleep CRAP?!

Don't feel bad about your skill, I'm still awful and I've been playing all year (I'm a seasoned n00b!). Your geographical location may affect your jitter too, I know servers in other countries (or the other side of the US) sometimes give me lag and stuff. And we Yanks call it "Bee Zee Flag"...

An interesting question, sounds like one I'd ask (I ask weird questions). I checked it with Ratfink, it appears whoever picked up the SR flag first will crush the other tank.

Maybe some of those people had reasons to change their names, like a feud with another player or something. Maybe they wanted a fresh start and a clean slate (in the case of cheaters). Self destruction is necessary in the game (especially for us Linux folk who get stuck on certain meshes and teleporters), and it really takes a good player to pull of the "Self Destructor Martyr Dude/Chick" tactic. It's not a problem unless it gets abused. I respect the non-abusers who use...

I think (although complex) a "Heat Sensor" flag would make a nice alternative to my "Radar" flag idea.

I think it's simply rude to say "We want to delete your account now.", so go and pick one of millions of other names and be done with it.

Very interesting... however probably a bit complicated in the coding and what-not. I like the idea, perhaps even make "hot" boxes to go along with it. I'm not sure if Hot Boxes would make for more interesting game play, but it's an idea....
