Re: OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

Nope, no good. I replaced "BaseUrlHandler" with "bz_BaseURLHandler" in OneVsOne.cpp, then it wouldn't compile. I replaced the same string in UrlHandler.cpp and UrlHandler.h, still no luck. Now I get this when I compile. In file included from OneVsOne.cpp:12:0: UrlHandler.h:14:7: ...

Re: OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

The exact command I am using is -loadplugin /usr/local/lib/bzflag/OneVsOne.so which is where all my plugins are located after I "sudo make install". I can load any other plugin (except for oneOnOneRules, but that's a different matter) by using this line with the correct plugin name. Could ...

Re: OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

Is your bzfs and OneVsOne plugin from the same build of the source? I'm not sure what you mean. I compiled them together, I have the latest SVN trunk source of bzfs, and I got the OneVsOne source from the 2.4_compat branch above. I can go without the oneOnOneRules plugin for now, but I would really...

Re: OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

Ok, got the 2.4_compat branch, tried it. It compiles fine, but when I try to load it, I get this (-ddd): 2012-08-04 18:39:03: Plugin: /usr/local/lib/bzflag/OneVsOne.so not found, error /usr/local/lib/bzflag/OneVsOne.so: undefined symbol: _ZTV14BaseUrlHandler 2012-08-04 18:39:03: WARNING: unable to l...

Re: BZFlag 2.4.2 "Doomsday Edition" released

Just a quick question that I've been meaning to ask. Please note that we are only releasing a 32 bit installer this time. Nobody used the 64 bit one we made last time since it doesn't really do anything different. You can still build a 64 bit build of everything expect bzadmin if you want. If I buil...

Re: OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

Tattaa...done... :) Thanks a lot! I will try that. It's too bad it wasn't done the other way around (with a 2.0_compat and then with the master targeting the current release). That's what I was thinking too. I haven't used github all that much, and I assumed that "Branches" would be, well...

It doesn't matter what you think, you do have a reputation here, everyone does. And this last post of yours just lowed your reputation, as I see it. (and the post you made right before this topic was "wiped" didn't help either) I have seen other people do the same thing, here, and on other...

OneVsOne Plugin for 2.4.x

I'm trying to host a private OneVsOne server for some tourneys, and I'd really like the plugin that is on many of the public 1vs1 servers. I don't care about reporting matches, ZELO scores, but I would like to be able to have the plugin keep score, and record the matches. (through the "/ovso ma...

Haven't you learned by now? This map has the same errors that were in the last map you posted, You really should post some screenshots, it's obvious you didn't even tested it, and you "hop [sic] the map work"?!

Re: The Rules

That sounds simple to those who follow them, but those who don't will always try to talk their way out of it. That's because those rules are quite relative. To the player, to the admin, to anyone of accusing another player of breaking them. Let's look at one of them. "Don't be a jerk" Exac...

Re: Server name is blank

I think you may be a little confused about a VPS. (Virtual Private Server) If you pay for one, you basically get an account on a large computer at a datacenter. You would have remote terminal access (ssh) and probably a web-based control panel. Paying for a VPS really has nothing to do with what typ...

Re: Server name is blank

I have a mostly static IP, so I use http://www.dnsdynamic.org just in case  I have Tomato firmware on my router, which runs a script to update the dynamic domain name. If you have any questions, just ask! P.S. I think there is some way to easily test your map on BZAddict, starting a test serve...

I agree with Tanx, Hallelujah! A mapper who knows what he's doing! I tested it, and I really like it. I have 3 comments though. 1). The tank speed seemed a little slow for such a large, open space. -set _tankSpeed 30? 2).The water seemed to "float" over the grass seen outside of the map, b...

Re: BZStocks - The BZ Population Decides

A "stay logged in" button would be nice Yes, it is quite annoying to have to log back in after each server update. Perhaps the BZCash could be some sort of negotiable currency here on the forums, e.g., for "paid favors"? That would require no integration in the forums, only a &q...

Re: No way out war

Thanks for the screenshots Sig! Maybe you should add something special about your map that makes it different from others like super flags for example....Just regular flags not made up flags but just regular but no GM,L or G. If this is to be a 1vs1, I would say no superflags. Or if there are, no W...

Re: New map gonna be out, need hoster

You "only" want to be an owner. Owner typically means owner of the machine the server is running on. (or one who has administrative rights to the machine) If you can get someone to host your map, I doubt they would give you owner permissions. Personally, I would be more likely to give the ...

Re: Aztec Pyramids (Host?)

-t is only for random maps, (to insert random teleporters) so you can remove that. You also need to add -mp (Max Players) in your config file. -mp 0,10,0,10,0,20 should work. (-mp rogue, red, green, blue, purple, obs) This will allow 10 players on each team, with 20 observers. The reason for this is to t...

It's a lot of fun, kinda like an arcade shooter, but being constricted to one corner of the map get's somewhat boring after a while. (especially when your enemy just goes and hides, and you can't do anything about it!)

Re: Handicap

Short answer, yes. It messes up your server. (yes, I do have the latest truck release) If it worked correctly with no bugs, I would say more servers should use, and before I knew it was buggy, I wondered why no servers used it. I don't understand why it causes the scores to go haywire though. It sho...
