play on servers near you, at least on the same continent, and well it won't help with lag, but it will improve your gaming experience if you add a better graphics card.

The one you listed appears to be on on-board card which typically doesn't fair well with 3d games and such.

this isn't exactly a network sniff, but it will log all data that you see during the game; bzflag -echo > /home/steve/bzflag/logs/`date +%h-%d_%Y_%H-%M`.log as for sniffing the network, what's out there now a days? nmap, wireshark, and some others. Not sure which O.S.'s those programs work on, Linux...

that is normal for an observer to see st tanks via labels if that is what you are questioning.
