Thats a pretty cool idea, sort of like a skyscraper.
A few questions though-
How does a tank get from one level to another?
What do you plan to put in for the options in the final map?

There are a ton of good posts and articles that outline how to set up servers. Here are a few that helped me when I was messing around with running a server. http://my.bzflag.org/bb/search.php http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2915 http://my.bzflag.org/w/Creating_A_Server http://my.bzflag.org/...

You can make really simple looking trees without Blender by using boxes and pyramids. box name stump position 0 0 0 size 0.5 0.5 13 rotation 0 end pyramid name leaves position 0 0 8 size 4 4 8 rotation 0 end pyramid name leaves2 position 0 0 11 size 4 4 8 rotation 45 end pyramid name leaves3 positio...

BZEdit can't add flags, you've got to put them in by hand. Open up your map file in TextEdit if you're using a Mac, or Notepad if you're running Windows. Scroll down to the end of the file and add in: zone position 0.0 0.0 0.0 # location of flag on map rotation 0 # not really necessary size 1.0 1.0 ...

SC.. you can already zoom with binocs, the reload time/range thing has some merit, but since it is a flag the not moving part makes you a sitting duck and no one in their right mind would hold on to the flag I think Stij meant you will still be able to move when you're not zoomed in with the scope....

A friend and I tried something similar to your CL+ST idea, only we used WG and CL on Planet Mofo. My friend had CL, and would plant himself between a teleporter box and one of the pyramids, and I would fly directly above him, about 30-40 units high. When people came by, they thought it was only me w...

I think I fixed the problem of being stuck on the base. I finally managed to get the problem to happen to me on a LAN game, and after changing the base thickness from .1 to 1 unit it hasn't happened since. As for the flag locations, I don't know what to do to fix that. From R3laX's screenshots, it s...

Well, it seems like it must be a problem with me since other people are having the problem. The only thing I can think of is that there is a clear meshbox in front of the CTF pad thats drive through, but is supposed to prevent spawn camping by people with lasers from the the far base. Could you be s...

Then, when I join and spawn, I get stuck on the base. I have to self destruct. Then when I jump on the base, I get stuck again. So it seems you need to do a little testing at this point yet. Also, create a unique name for the map. It seems like an interesting layout, but just has a few bugs yet. Th...

ya this look like the next boxy wars!! great job :) Heh, I don't know about that. My map was influenced mostly by DW's Castle Warfare. Actually, I tried to fix things that I didn't like about DW's map. Such as how hard is is to get around in his Castles, and how I always tend to get stuck in his GM...

Jefenry's CTF Map
This is a CTF map I've been working on for a few weeks. There are no major problems that I know of, so I'm calling it done. Although I'll probably always be able to find something worth changing. Flags- GM, ST, L, CL, SE, SB, SW, BU, PZ, WG More about the map-- http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?...

Blue if automatic doesn't work. Never rogue unless I have no other choice. Amen, I despise those dirty rogues. :-D For heaven's sake... can't those guys work together with anyone? ;-) Ahh, I'm almost always rouge. That way you can use the spray and pray tactics and not worry about a teammate being ...

Decided against using Geno Added eight new walls to hide behind, and in good places for rico shots. Added team spawn zones. Got rid of the square outside wall and added my own to make it rectang...

Jefenry's First Map
Here's a two team CTF map I've been working on for a few weeks with iBZEdit. It was inspired by DW's Castle Warfare, and the basic design was thought up during one boring history class. It's got two big castles with 5 levels to shoot from, 4 pillboxes, 4 GM towers, and a bunch of "reflectors&qu...

Ethics in 3 or more team CTF
Say a red and a blue tank are both inside the greens base, and they are really slaughtering the greens. Wouldn't it be more to the red and blue teams advantage for them not to kill each other, but to work together? I've been playing Missile War quite a bit lately, and I've been in this situation a f...
