Stopping flags from going through ceilings

Hello, I am making a map, and it's a CTF. Most of the map is underground, including the teams' bases. When someone grabs a team flag, then lets it go, it will "bump" up to the surface (where it isn't always possible to grab). I need to make it so that the flag drops to the floor when dropp...

There's already a way to make things black, with fog. I think the Heat flag is the coolest, it could make the trackmarks show up bright red, last longer, and let you see a heat signature when a tank is behind a building. This means the flag has tactical uses outside of the hypothetical heavy fog, bu...

Why not in the tank's camo colors? I have a few ideas of my own, making crappy pictures in GIMP atm. xD Edit: May take a while... I have more than a few, so I will just post them in text. - base color of shirt/jacket/hoody/whatever could be solid colors or patterns - image for shirt pocket/pocket a...

The thing I like about the moon map is that it makes jumping tanks more realistic. That always bothers my dad...

Maybe, and this is a crazy idea, you could build some BZrobots that just sit inside the "fake tanks". Then trigger something off those exploding? Or maybe use them instead of the fake tanks.

The wall and floor textures need to be tiled quite a few times to look effective, I think. I add textures by using meshes, and setting texcoords to make it fit appropriately (for instance, on a 25x25 floor, I'd put tilefloor in 5 times on each side). I'm not sure what you can do with a meshbox. So I...

Hi, I whipped these textures up in MS paint. I don't know if you wanted something higher-quality (which is likely). The tiled floor is something I'm going to use in one of my maps in the future, I already had it on hand 8) The wall...is kind of abstract. Like some kind of artsy wallpaper. I'm...

About the narrow thing: Yes, narrow has a width of 1 pixel, but even facing them they're surprisingly easy to hit, because if they're just at the tiniest angle to you, your bullet can easily hit their side. Because of that, i like tiny a lot better. Yeah, but they're also "cloaked" in tha...

I guess the point would be that you don't have to download anything to run the game. That's useful for people like me who are paranoid about security/safety issues, or if you're using the game on a public computer such as in a library. Also, since it's embedded into a webpage, you could have stats, ...

I like the narrow flag. It's much more powerful than people expect. This means I can go around killing lots of people without them ganging up to kill me (as with laser or GM or something). The fact that the bullets look like normal is helpful too, it's pretty obvious when someone has laser or SW bec...

Hello there! "n" is talk, "m" is talk but only your team can read it. There's also "," which sends a message to the person who last killed you, and "." which I believe sends a message to the person who you last messaged, or who last messaged you, or something ...

I just went online to check, and it looks like the old map is still up! I wasn't very savvy, and only edited the first post a mere half hour before you posted. Did you perchance download it from the original post during the window of time between when I posted the fix and updated the first post? If ...

Ah...the drivethrough blocks are tricky. You have to land on the spaces that are invisible. The drivethrough blocks show you where NOT to jump. I changed it so the drivethrough blocks have the "bubble" texture, so it's a bit clearer that you're not mean to drive there, and the invisible bl...

Do you wander why? Check out the Wiki i posted. Fix it up. Then maybe someone will want to host it. I really fail to see the link between working on the Wiki and someone wanting to host your map.. After all, the quality of the Wiki has nothing to do with the quality of your map. I think he meant fi...

Here's my latest map. It's a CTF at the ocean! There are two main paths to the other base: One high, one low. The high path sends you up to a giant building. You will need to grab a narrow flag to enter the building, where you will find some wings flags. Using the wings flags to float across the gap...

IIRC, "scale 5 5 5" means 5 times the normal size. Try "scale 1 1 1" to make it normal sized.

If you want to make it smaller than one use decimals.

Hmmm... And what is the difference in the result if you click "don't care" because you don't like being bugged and not voting because you... hmmm... don't care? Well, it may just become an automatic reflex to hit "don't care", just like one automatically hits "i" or wh...

I really like the map. The little "petri dish" where you can hit others but they can't hit you is really cool. I also liked the sort of "flag storage" under the base. Unfortunately the brilliant three-way boxes are hardly used by the players. Maybe put a couple of these on each t...

A little reminder like that every time you die WOULD be beneficial. The question for me is: should you be able to spawn without voting?

If you're forced to vote, then people might just hit "don't care" right away and keep playing, which would eliminate the purpose.

The bzfs file should be in the same folder as the game. To run it, you'll need to use a command prompt (if you're using windows...I don't know how otherwise). There should be a button that says "command prompt" in the start menu somewhere. It'll open a little black window up. You have to t...

How about if some of the shots randomly went up or down, (which would then ricochet up in all likelihood) in addition to left + right? That would be more like a "spray" than MG, and I think it would play quite differently too.
