You can't send a message to their nemisis or their teammates. You can only send messages to ether: Your teammates Your nemisis A specific person Everyone The main keys are <N> (All), <M> (Team mate ), <,> (Nemisis) , and <.> (Private Message). To use these keys, press one of these keys and type in y...

It would be a good idea, but it just makes things more difficult. Also, lag interferes and just makes things weird.

OBLISK Downloading Problem

Well, I'm on my computer on a Live version of Ubuntu 6.06, was downloading BZFlag in an OBLISK package. Downloaded fine. Double-clicked bzflag. An usual relocating box came, and passed fine. Then came the libgnutls.so.13. It just stood there for a second with no progress and then popped up an empty ...

I tried that option, though it logs everything. I just want the chat. I also want it in a custom folder (kinda like Windows Live Messeger chat logs).

Chat Logging on Client

I think it would be a great idea to include a logging feature in the BZFlag client because I really love to read those funny old moments (like the time that I made Rover Blaster really angry).

*Don't remember what to write next, so that's all for now*

The old map doesn't appear on the serverlist anymore. Looks like it was taken down after one day of service.

BTW I never had this problem on that server. Though I've had it at the World of Pain and that prison map.

I think I've played for about 3-4 months. I installed BZFlag 2.0.6 the day before 2.0.8 was released.

Tank being stuck at an old Boxy War map

Here's lukaskalo being stuck in a wall at a old Boxy map (Version 2.0, I call it). There must be some problem with the spawn zone or something, but it's just plain weird.

P. S. I grabbed this image from my hard drive from a Linspire Live CD. Hopefully it's the same quality.

BZFlag Dictionary

I'm going to put some definitions for BZFlag terms. It will help newbies to know what everyone's talking about. It's on BZJournal (see link in signature). If you've got anything to add on to it, go ahead. Currently, I can't seem to think of any other terms, so ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Space drops the flag, not shoot
Enter shoots
I identifies/locks GM

You can move with your mouse, fire with left click, drop flag with middle, and lock/identify with right. The rest you have to use the keyboard.

Right. I just remembered. If you are not responding to the server, you will be under "pause" mode and your flag will be up for grabs. Happens to me last year while being nr at a school computer. Noticed that my GM dropped after a sec of being nr.

Mayby try a firewall. Hardware one. It'll probably block most DoS.

Serious bug: When "Show name" is enabled, instead of feeding BZFlag the domain and port, the program feeds BZFlag the name of the server. This will make BZFlag report a lot of errors saying that there isn't the option of the server name. For example: selecting BZFX :: Boxy War would report...
