I've tried clearing out the client config file, and even rebuilding from scratch using A-Delusion's instructions, but the shots still appear as a single pixel in radar.

Ah well, there's always something...

I have the same issue, see the screenshot. Changing the shot size option in GUI settings has no effect. I can mitigate the issue by making the trails longer (and leading, so I can see where they are going). I think I recall others having this issue with 2.0.0, I cannot find the solution though. Any ...

Currently bzadmin looks like this (2.0.8 version on OSX) *** 'Anaken Piewalker3' left the game. *** '75mm' destroyed by 'Destroyer1313'. *** 'Ghost33' destroyed by 'KHFish'. *** 'Ruby Vroom' destroyed by 'NaN'. *** 'NaN' blew myself up. *** 'Careida' destroyed by 'scytheman'. *** 'Destroyer1313' des...

Re: Autopilot & Permission to do so

...and people are still running unauthorized bots on servers. Of course we could not allow bots at all, but we still wanna run ours when we decide to. I like to use the _disableBots variable - change it to 0 when starting an authorized roger-bot then change it to 1 to disallow other bots. Of course...

Re: Compile Intel/Universal Binary on ppc Mac

NOTE: I am almost positive this works without problems. I compiled bzflag for intel, and created a universal binary, but I do not have an intel mac to test it on. :? Please post a link to your build so it can be tested. There are many who would want to use it. If you don't have the space/bandwidth ...

What do you mean by 2 flag per good flag 1 flag per bad flag Why have score limits? I took that to mean he has 2 each of every good flag, 1 each of every bad flag (is Useless good or bad? :?) Since the server is running "random maps" I'll bet the game restarts with a new map once those li...

Where is the config for the 1.10.x client a...

1.10 Server List broken

The server list ("Find Server") in BZF 1.10.8 is broken. The few players I've talked to are just connecting to last server they connected to - but also cannot see the server list. It has been broken more than a week, so I doubt it is just a DNS propagation problem. The server list still wo...

(New?) Spawn server variables

The spawn bug is still really annoying and I'm anxiously awaiting the 2.0.8 fix that might be released to fix it. In the meantime I see a few server variables that appear to be new - I wonder if they can be explained... /set _spawnMaxCompTime 0.010000 0.01 /set _spawnSafeRadMod 20.000000 20 /set _sp...

Re: Shield Q

Whats the _shieldFlight variable do? Does it edit the part about the "flies for an extra long time" (what does that mean anywho?)? Yep, that variable does control how long the SH flag will stay in the air before landing or disappearing. That flag stays up longer than other flags so a play...

BZadmin menu in OSX?

From the man page of BZAdmin I see this paragraph: The curses user interface also has a simple menu system where you can edit the server variables (if you are an admin) and see a player list. If you are an admin you can also see the IP addresses in the player list, if you have sent a /playerlist com...

Step two is not necessary for general players. The groups EVERYONE and VERIFIED already exist and you don't need to add general players to these groups. To answer your initial question of how to require registration for players, you would add SPAWN (and maybe TALK) to the VERIFIED group. I've also f...
