hmmm, this is getting more interesting. I have worked on complex social networks myself and I might have something to add to this preliminary analysis of yours. You have chosen to link players according to their playing times, however, in my opinion, the link would not be an actual social link unles...

Interesting post. At first glance, it occurs to me that you might be losing a good deal of useful information about the issue you want to investigate because of the fact that most personal content and meaningful conversations usually take place in teams (not obv) and private messages (1 to 1). Those...

where did i mention it was dead? I said with "little to none success" and that is IMHO unquestionable.

Staring a bzleague league is not difficult, keeping it alive is. We have witnessed the OpenLeague, Plosileague, Adrenaline, Trix league, ... and many more with little to none success. Some people make a map, a web site and voila! we have a new league. You need many things to have a playable league: ...

Re: WHO know how to get into gu officiel league

please tell me how to join the gu offaciel league idk how :?: Yes, register your name "R32Z" here: http://gu.bzleague.com , your name must be the same as your BZFlag name in the official BZFlag forums, right here. Once you are done, send me a gumail to be added to the players group. Do no...

Indeed, this is a real problem for duc league lately.

I think Quol is probably one person to talk to. He has several GU servers running with good ping times. In the old times there was a duc quol server if i recall correctly....

In response, I was banned yesterday from a game because of that anoying plugin. It means, when its busy, people come and go, you cant even try to take a flag. Whats wrong with anticipation? I wont travel or cap a flag if outnumbered (perhaps once on a monday morning), but thats no reason not to tou...

for JeffM, maybe other board admins too

I have troubles identifying what parts of the forum are public and what are private and access granted to a certain group I belong to. This is particularly important when posting about delicate issues. For instance GU and Duc have some "(private)" string attached to them, but there is a fo...

I agree with CBG, but actually bamf got the point. It would also make it more dynamic like the 1vs1, so i voted with bamf: 1 month with no breaks

I concur with menotume and, as I already explained publicly the day this thread was created, insist that passwords simply canot be given away as Molez enfatically claims. Also, I am often asked about the identity of "unknown" good players :"who is so-and-so" and I have never reve...

GU has one list of league members who can talk/spawn/pause/start and run a countdown and cancel. IMO having TWO lists would be very time consuming and unpractical. If a given player wants to be in the talk list he will have to ask to be added, so what is the difference from having one unique spawn/t...

this story about passwds sounds pretty weird to me. 1) i doubt there is a single admin who give passwds as you say 2) To my knowledge admir cannot look at passwds, not edit or look the code or data bases or either bzbb nor ducati, not gu league sites. In fact, no one can actually see passwds so that...

I dont like the idea of merging for many reasons: 1) each league has its character, rules, and admins. And this should stay like that. You cannot try to revive ducati by eating on other for now successful leagues. Ducati is ducati and I love it for what it is. 2) many, many people do not play GU AND...

why should not any two playing teams decide the length of a match (15 or 30min), just as they decide on which server they play? Shorter matches should increase activity, at least the "i have no time" problem should have less impact in refussing a match.

Many interesting suggestions and long and detailed posts only indicate the tremendous interest of some some players, for instance tokimi, foo (aka mistake), Xell, kierra, among many others in a better and more active league. I think many of mistake's ideas are doable and good. Specially concerning a...
