not to be completely negative, but, well, I am Grumbler.............the map looks like a glom of madcity/rat lab, and a couple other public map features onto a single map.

now that aside, it looks like an interesting map.

really, that is not how you explained it to me before. you indicated that much of bz is done on the cpu instead of on the graphics card, which were some of the improvements you were trying to make to bz in general....................hence your recent polls of graphics hardware and such.................

i dont know yet, since i havent tried to make a map with stairs in it yet. the general hubbub has me believing anything less that 1-2 units.

its probably buried in the code somewhere. tupone or learner might know of the tops of their respective heads.

comparing it with halo and b1942 might be incorrect, since bzflag uses software rendering over hardware rendering. i must admit that i am unfamilar with both of those games, but i am guessing they use mostly hardware rendering. also note, that my terms of use(rendering/modelling) may also be incorre...

not many.....................................but fear not, there are some network improvements coming that might help a little.....................................although i would think that getting a broadband connection would be a better solution.

tanks do, so long as the steps are small enough, they will "pop" up a level in height.

I have some feedback on this map, here are some of the comments:

1. great map, bases need to be harder to get to.
2. like the bridge.
3. need another way up from the water

those are the general comments.

kinda nice, ran it as a rabbit hunt....one issue though, you get stuck going back down to the little itty bitty transporters hidden in the columns on the outside.....otherwise it was a good bit of fun

I am not going to try and defend those that use the bots just to lure people in, I know i use the bots to test maps......but I usually dont leave them there. Since its hard to get a bunch of people to join a server just for a quick test. I did most of the Angriff testing with that approach. I suppos...

yes, you can capture to any base what is nice about two bases, is that during a team respawn after a capture, it is difficult to camp on the base and kill the entire team, since the team will spawn between the two bases. In this map, I am not trying to completely eliminate base camping, since an SW ...
