There are several around but you probably need to write your own for this particular purpose.

Re: teleporters on random map
I could only think of a custom random-map-script which applies different density settings for boxes, pyramids and teleporters.
As far as I know there is no specific option to set the teleporter density.

Re: teamspeak/mumble etc
I'm very interested in this topic, too, as I started discussion about it at http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16588. I don't know if a mumble server for the entire BZFlag world would be appropriate or if seperate servers would be the correct solution, but there should definitely someth...

Re: main menu and ingame lag
Check if there are newer drivers for your graphics card available at http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx before buying a better (not necessarily brandnew) graphics card.

Re: main menu and ingame lag
You probably got old (or wrong) graphic drivers running, as you say your FPS are only dropping when the menu is active, your driver might not be able to handle the menu overlay over the 3D quickly.
Your laptop might not even have a 3D accelerated graphic card or it's a driver problem, too.

Re: BZFS running
The documentation is shipped with the diverse installers and packages and is probably located within the installation directories, it can be found in the SVN repository and there is the BZWiki which provides loads of information on the various topics (including server running). The BZWiki is located...

Re: 2.0.16 linear phydrv bug
Well, the changelogs of .14 and .16 don't mention any physics changes (http://my.bzflag.org/w/BZFlag_2.0.14, http://my.bzflag.org/w/BZFlag_2.0.16) but as we know mac, linux and windows versions behave slightly different. As I experienced the bug on my 2.0.12 WinXP client, too, i highly doubt a bug i...

Re: 2.0.16 linear phydrv bug
I was on 2.0.12, I'd rather assume it's a bug in the map code. The racetrack faces could have been turned in the wrong directions for example.

Re: moveing objects
It's no problem to create moving objects in BZFlag. BUT: Tanks can't interact with them while they are moving. That means: if you drive against a moving object you will go straight through it (like it was passable) because object movements are not synchronized between the clients. Another player mig...

Well, as they havn't got a use yet, you could give them one by replacing other sounds with them and further customise your game with them. Or if you've got free time to spend you could build new features makeing use of them

Re: Calling all Map Makers: The Collaborator 2010
I'd assemble everything into a single BZW-File and include my callsign into any object names (defines, materials, ...). This way it's very unlikely that anything goes wrong.

Re: Observer Bolt?
Obviously more testing and debugging should probably be done on the coding end of this. Let's do it! enum TeamColor { AutomaticTeam = -2, NoTeam = -1, RogueTeam = 0, RedTeam = 1, GreenTeam = 2, BlueTeam = 3, PurpleTeam = 4, ObserverTeam = 5, RabbitTeam = 6 }; This is the 2.0.12 code that's used to ...

Re: Observer Bolt?
Having rabbit and observer for world weapons wouldn't make any sense as they've got the same color.me1 wrote:it's 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 iirc rogue red green blue purple rabbit hunter observer
Additionaly, the hunter tank shoots rogue bullets/SWs.
I'm pretty sure it's only from 0 to 4 for Ro, Re, G, B and P.

It also appears in the game when the very rare observer-playing-bug occurs (or a cheater makes use of it).

Re: Public List Doesn't Search
Try to run your BZFlag with -list http://my.bzflag.org/db/ once to change the list server back.
To figure how to set up your own list server, the BZWiki is a good source (as ever): http://my.bzflag.org/w/Private_List_Server
