Well, alezakos' idea seems like the easiet, but I'm not figuring it out. Do I type that in the map file? or like in a terminal window? (btw i'm on MacOS) If its the map file, where in the file? if its in the terminal, what directory do I need to be in? and what command?

LAN Server
So lately, I've been playing a lot of BZF with some friends on my LAN. Problem is, I'd like to be able to use regular server commands to change bullet speed and other variables. Anyone know how I might go about doing that?
Thanks!

As Allejo said, put your map in the map releases forum. If its good enough, I can probably host it for you.

Re: Cop Wars
IMO, that could be a neat play style. You would just have to write a plugin that would only give the cop the ability to give flags to his team, and not the other team. I wouldn't put superflags on the ground for this. maybe have the team be able to vote for a cop change? (just trying to expand on yo...

Re: Hand-Made in the .bzw file
I use iBZEdit (pretty much the only map .bzw editor) It has its quirks and such, but its pretty stable. Downside is, it doesn't fully support meshes, and does not at all support textures or spheres/cones/arcs/etc. Generally I will finish the map in iBZEdit, naming everything so I know what it is in ...

Ok, I am working on a "BZFopoly" map, based off of a traditional monopoly board. I need Ideas... Here are a few I have so far: (DONE) 3D jail with a tele from the "go to jail" space. You can not drive out of the jail (except by tele), but you can shoot through the bars cash under...

Re: Apocalypse In Action :: Planet MoFo
1) amend the operation of the masquerade flag so that if you get hit by a geno-holding opposing player, it kills their team. To be clear, if I'm red, and you're green (see what I did there ;-), and I'm holding MQ and you're holding the green flag, and you shoot me, all greens die. Adds a litle risk...

Re: Any time I join a server I get kicked off.
Some symbols don't seem to work in the BZF client. "&" and "#" I know as a fact don't work. I wouldn't be surprised of other similar symbols wouldn't work in the cline, such as !@^* etc. so if your password has any symbols like these it in, try changing it to a password that ...

Re: BZFlag 2.0.14 and 2.0.16 are Breaking!
I doubt another version would have a substantial effect, it may have a slight impact, but none that would be long lasting. But if you wish to pursue this you could always contribute ;) I would, I so would. But I don't have time to learn the programming language and all that. Life has been busy late...

Re: BZFlag 2.0.14 and 2.0.16 are Breaking!
Reading through this topic, all I am reading is people complaining about a better version... I don't understand what is so wrong with 2.4. I think the up grade is much better, and kudos to the people who worked on it. Nuff said. C.Dogg9200 right, and if BZ doesn't keep upgrading, It's gonna die soo...

Re: Plugin Request Thread
Something I noticed in relation to the CustomFlags plugin: You may want to find a different abbreviation for the Circumference (CI) which looks just like the Cloaking (Cl) abbreviation perhaps CC? Also, in your first post about the CF.cpp, you mentioned that the Circumference spray would be abbrevia...

I didn't have a "BZFlag" folder in application support, so I made my own, and added the DownloadAccess.txt file, left it blank, but nothing worked

So I wanted to allow image downloads from the mofo servers... but I can't find the "DownloadAccess.txt" (or whatever name it was) that it mentioned. I'm on a Mac (10.7.4)
