Just use -autoteam.

Most people will request that others switch teams. And any new players would automatically be the team w/ the least amount of players.

bzfed, try making some RPMs for it. I dont know what system you use, but I'll make one based on my FC3 install if you like.

Never made one before, but I think its easy enough -- just add a paramater someware :?

Hm... I nkow I had some problems w/ BZFlag on FC3 but found that runnign it as root  fixes this. I'm relatively new to Linux, or I would have tried to fix this. As far as I can tell, there are no security risks w/ BZFlag?

Yes, everybody says that. I have no diea why Microsoft generates such horible sound. You do realize that you cant write to NTFS though. I used had an 80G HD, split in two when I first installed Linux. 40G had my files, the other 40 was left for Linux to format. After I copied everything over, I dele...

autostart bzflag

Is there any way I can start bzflag, in a consol (not in the background), and contain paramaters as well: like -world and -conf. [root@localhost ~]# chkconfig "bzfs -world /home/azevedo/map/dogfight/AerialDogfight.bzw -conf /home/azevedo/bzfs/conf -d -d -d" on error reading information on ...

Yeah, I was fiddling with both files earlier. Doesn't seem to work defaulty. In the source there was a couple places where it looked like things needed to be filled in, spicifically, a location to gather information. When I find some free time I'll look around the file more closely and find out what...

lol! RPG. I just had the very same problem on reinstalling FC3 ;) I'm reconfiguring my computer for server distro instals. One thing I'm doing is making /home shared by everybody*, however, I was still trying to cut back on how much space I used. So I didn't install any of the development packages, ...

Yeah, Cable isnt the best to run servers w/ because it uses shared resources. To make sure their network stays fast and efficient they geenrally do not allow servers. However...I run both my website and my bzfalg over cable though. You can probably go to your ISP's website to get offical info. Tests...

That's sortof the idea, I guess :-/

I was thinking of having each player send his data to everybody else on the server, but then realized that cheaters would love that :lol-old:

P2P technology in bzflag

I think this would be very beneficial because servers would have the capacity to host more players. On the downside, cheating might be easier, and depending on the node relations, some people may have lags much higher while others lower. However, each dedicated node could analyze data itself, and if...

GM Range?

_gmRange shoudl be a variable.

It does not corispond w/ shotRange, so right now there is no way to set how far gm goes.

Just attach your file, or use . I think code altimatically only puts so much on the screen, or at least in most forums. Curl has something to do with internet, I found out w/ my problems. BZFlag would not install with the CVS because it was missing libcurl version 2. I have version 3 installed! I re...

I'm not big on censorship so dont have a filter right now. However, I wouldn't hesitate to kick somebody who was using too much inapropriate language. Sit Lance-Alot once had "good" filtered accidently. It was funny because we had to speel it out g o o d lol, dont ask me how that happened....
