Re: CTF with 1 Flag

. the map is now worked over completely (again) but still represents a "mockup" for testing the concept! from what i got as player-input so far ::: most player like that "new" play-style ! but the BIG problem is that most of them just don't get it and wonder what they shall do wi...

Re: z Best Of z 2009

by the way ::: try this map (slightly modified) with a V3 client on 001.bzflag.fr:5198 thanks to trepan we have a lua-rule included that makes a shot deadly only if it ricochets of a wall, pyra or is fired through a tele! real fun and challenging to play and shows just a fraction of what lua can do!...

Re: CTF with 1 Flag

exzellent Yrogirg!
yes i was fixed on the "Aztec ballcourt" map itself with the small entry ... but now i see!!!!
would you accept that i take your map and do some "online testing" in hosting your map as it is?
good input ::: thanks!

Re: CTF with 1 Flag

just some thinking added ::: i like the "tiny-flag idea" too! but now the famous "but" ::: i think the capping itself would be to hard! just one player would be enough to take that entry under fire and make it almost impossible to cap. the strategy would be just changed ::: inste...

Re: league website

come on guys ::: this is a new and totally rewritten league-site! no need in starting a new project! It should be more secure and faster. Having smaller output (kB), valid XHTML (provided the user entered content is updated), bbcode in private messages, private messages to more than one player, outb...

Re: BZFLAG World Cup

15th of august is a date to remember ::: this is the deadline to join/create your team!!!
after that, all teams will be closed and you will not be able to join/create one (without exceptions!)!
so spread the word around about this deadline ....!

CTF with 1 Flag

well its about the upcoming "Bzf World Cup" event and trying to combine soccer/football on a ducati map. discussing about the soccer idea to be a big part of this event and that the "real" game is played with only one ball on the field brought us to the idea of a CTF with only on...

Re: don't let BZFlag die

sorry but the topic got a bit off track ::: i hope a soon release of version 3 is possible to get BZFlag back on its tracks ;-)
could it be possible to get some 2.99 compiled clients ready to do a bit testing and getting a taste of what is coming?

don't let BZFlag die

sorry ::: sounds pessimistic but general player activity goes really downhill ...! and i believe a soon release of version 3.0 could help BZFlag to regain popularity! i have been testing and running servers for the upcoming version and with all the new features it looks promising and works so far &q...

compiling 2.99

well trying to be a "step ahead" and testing the new upcoming version for the settings and new map-making possibilities, i tried to compile the 2.99 bzfs version today on my Ubuntu 9.10 server. ./autogen.sh and ./configure --enable-shared --enable-debug --disable-client --prefix=/usr/local...

love it! good concept ::: especially the "underground-dimensionality" it has with the different levels and layout! maybe sizing the textures a bit smaller to fit it 1:1 would make it visually even more attractive? anyway ::: you're crazy ahs3 ;-) (how many hours went into this one?) .

hi all tanks ...
just a question ::: does anybody know where i could find the map-file of "Spirals 3.0 by BZDoug"?
i would love to add it to the classics rotation (because it deserves a spot there)!
BIG thanks in advance for any help, hints or even the file itself  !!!

That is a good argument, but what if people are drawn to missilewars because it is on the top. somebody that discovers bzflag these days joins a map were players are and most probably joins in right the top one without searching any further ::: he wants simply to play! finding himself in the new bz...
