Probably easy for you lot who have been making V2 maps for a while but I am trying to make a 'Planet Earth for my map using the earth.png on trepans site. My problem is that instead of one image of the planet I am getting loads on my sphere. Can anyone point out what I need to do to apply the inage ...

Sooo.......

I take it from what has been said that you can use non standard textures. In that case what file format do they have to be? and if they are local to my data folder can other people playing on my map see the textures? Sorry if this is a thicko question but better to find out than remain in ignorance....

Sorry the post was in the wrong place. Thanks to you all for good info Thanks esp. to A-Delusion the portforward site is a life saver.
