-autoteam based on forum groups
Hey All, So it has occurred to me that -autoteam could be made smarter. I think it would be neat if it could autojoin people to teams based on global forum groups. This enhancement would lead to several advantages: 1) For league games people are already joined to the correct team. 2) To encourage re...

This is a bash script written for *nix systems. I would be happy to rewrite it as a MS-DOS bat/cmd script, but the problem is, I can't think of a way to get the playercount w/out an external program. I'll think about it a bit. Right now, the only thing I can think of is to require the use of wget ....

In 2.0.3 PDCurses support, the only curses lib for windows (which would allow an identical bzadmin gui to *nixes) was broken. Since I was the only one who really compiled with it, it was never fixed. I don't know if it has been in CVS recently, I only compile on my Debian box now. You can check if i...

Are you trying to say that threads are completely useless unless you have a multiprocessor system? Give me a break. Umm, yeah that's what we are saying pretty much. If you disagree, please prove it rather than flaming that we are wrong. You guys have failed to bring up any good reason for not imple...

I'm no expert, but algorithms like blowfish, twofish, serpent, 3DES, AES, etc. are way too slow. Even if there is no speed hit, processor usage will soar to decrypt/encrypt the information. But it only has to be done whenever a client connects. If you're worried about the impact on the performance ...

Wait lemme get this straight, so I have to require people to register to talk in order to be part of ths group? I say just make a private admin and owner forum. All people in .cop groups are in this forum. Easy. Done. By the way Jeff, other than Silvercat and Secretplace, I don't think any server is...

you can be a COMPLETE idion and stll have some knowledge to run it successfully. I agree with you, both OSes have their advantages, but actually I personally find it more difficult to manage my XP System. I constantly have to make sure there are no stray processes running, keep my anti-spyware prog...

There is a weird bug with connection limits. Despite MS not having any limit on HTTP-type connections, when you have more than ten flags, it mistakes bzflag connections for the type of p2p connections it does limit (only lan connections are limited by xp, it shouldn't affect internet ones). Because ...

Re: why
and benchmarks way slower than the AMD Partially true, Depending on if you do a lot of encoding work (audio and video compression), P4s can run faster than comparable AMD processors. True this is probably due to a large amount of apps being compiled with later versions of ICL, but is also the resul...

One could be in center, or it could be a pyramid pattern. Either way the bases would be equidistant from one another and the map a mirror image of itself.Ice Wewe wrote:How do you do that? I thought symmetrical meant it was the same on each side, and yet 3 is an uneven number, so how you gonna make that?

Ok here's the deal: If you've been to my server the past few days you probably noticed I have a Trash-Talking Script set up. If any of you want to submit insults, /report them. I can also add them 'live' without a server restart. Just don't post them here, JeffM might piss himself or something. (I t...

In order to mess with vars ...
