Running bzfs on WinXP through cygwin?
Possible? Plausible? My reasons for this are because I only have one working PC at the moment and it is running WinXP. I'd like to be able to run my server from a linux environment, but I can't do that without dual-booting into Linux. So my question is: Is it possible to compile/run bzfs from within...

I think it might have been a bit too soon to start doing real cash prizes. It might have been a better idea to have a few tournaments just for bragging rights. Just to get things going you know. Then later once we've established a proper way to do the tournaments, and people are used to them, then h...

I've been running my server off and on now for a few weeks and it seems to run ok with 3-4 people, can't take much more than that though due to the fact I only have a 384kb/s upload rate. I'm going to be getting a server running on a much higher bandwidth connection soon, so hopefully I won't have t...

Anyone else use a gamepad for bzFlag?
I have a Nostromo n50 programable pad that I use, and love. It's basically a 10 key keyboard on a wrist pad with a D-pad and throttle wheel. Pictures can be found at http://www.radiativenz.com/reviews/nostromon50/index.shtml It has 3 programable shifts which make it equivalent to 40 programable butt...

I usually throw a Metallica CD in my surround sound system and make sure I have a glass and a cold 2-liter of wild cherry pepsi (cherry coke in an emergency) handy. Oh, Ski: I also do the little leaning thing. Especially when I'm jumping onto a building and it doesn't look like I'm gonna make it, I'...

Actually sn0w_m0nkey,at the moment Chikorita and I are working towards getting a FFA league going. The rules will still have to be worked out, but I'm sure we can come up with something acceptable. I should have a new high bandwidth bz server running soon (end of this month methinks) and as soon as ...

Admin Functions without BZ client?
I'm probably wasting my time, but I'm just wondering if there is any known way to perform admin functions on a server, without having the regular bzflag client. Right now I'm at work, and can't load up bzflag, but I'd like to be able to keep an eye on my server (as I'm the only admin at the moment) ...

What kind of server
I am considering starting my own bzFlag server. I'd like to know what kind of connection/machine the most popular servers run off of. Namely servers like ducati, turkey.moongroup.com, and hashmark.net. Are they hosted off of a private machine at your residence or off of a paid webserver? Will a regu...

Nice. I didn't run across any problems in there.
I really like the colored Forum and Message titles. It makes it much easier to determine which Forums have new posts.
Great job!
