Maybe it worth fixing some critical bugs, leaving others, and release BZFlag 3.0 codename "Vista" (or Millennium Edition).

Re: Some questions about 2.99. (Third person view and robots

lol, with _jumpVelocity 0 if I die I get kicked in 2.99. While exploding I achieve higher altitude then I could while alive.

And I can't turn off lightning --- even if it set to None it is still there.

I've run my own server and yet I couldn't use third person view --- blank screen.

Is that default setting? I couldn't play with "set 3rdPersonCam 1" in my config file on any server online --- I only had blank screen (it's color was pretty nice btw).

Some questions about 2.99. (Third person view and robots)

Somewhere (~ 3 years ago) in this forums it was said that one could compile bzflag (at least 3.0) with third person view, just some flags during compilation should be set. However ./configure --help doesn't tell anything about it. Has this feature remained till nowadays? And another question. Is it ...

Roger bots without loading a whole client.

Is there a way to run autopilot bots without loading the whole client? Am i right, that if I minimize client with F4 it won't use resources for 3D render?

Autopilot bots won't drive in death physics, will they?

Is there a drawinfo example with water waves? I think some of the anomaly's maps have this feature, but I can't find them.

I meant that league. Don't think ordinary players are interested in league running solutions, this topic is certainly not for them.

Re: 2010 Collaborator Submissions

just to make clear --- on the final hosting each peace will have it's own server variables, right?

And will there be some kind of billboard with the plan and author's names on each part? Or maybe a plugin which provides a command to look the author of the part player currently on.

So how many fps do you have in game (the actual play) without menu? 1 fps in that case probably means 3D video driver not installed. What's your video card and operating system?

Re: What about your operating system?

Fox in the Fog, if you are interested in players' OSs you can just go to some popular server and type \clientquery .This will give you not only OS information but also bzflag version. However on MW2.3 \clientquery is not allowed for ordinary players. My OS is usually the latest stable Ubuntu (now 10...

You also can use tab to autocomplete names just like in console. This is helpful if someone has a callsign like agy98pygphgq39g87qgahgorczxbzg

Re: should BZWC become a league?

when you will sign-up to the MatchBall league, you will join automatically/randomly a generic team (we called it very creatively "red" and "green" team).
That's great. Will the league stay ducstyle + pass the flag?

Just tried eViacam: Enable Viacam (aka eViacam) is a mouse replacement software that moves the pointer as you move your head. It works on standard PCs equipped with a web camera. No additional hardware is required. Based on the award winning Facial Mouse software. http://eviacam.sourceforge.net/evia...

Re: PassTheFlag 1.0.6 released (Please Test)

Dirty hint: If FairCTF is enabled you still can pass the flag to your base. If teams are unbalanced just grab the flag while moving towards your base.

Maybe in this case FairCTF plugin only encourages abuse of weaker team.

Yes, both. Keyboard for major driving and jumping, mouse for shooting and small/precise speed for jumping. The problem is I usually use keyboard to rotate tank while mouse for forward motion to prepare for jump. And when I do so the whole console is overflowed by these messages. Well, I don't unders...

Re: Game mode suggestion: Humans vs Zombies

On the current map zombies tend to always win. It should be more open, just like the first version (well, the first version I've played). Maybe if humans use more team play, gather together and defend, it will even up teams. But as for now zombies are the winners.
