I think he is on IRC all the time, but "Lego" is a popular name and hobby (those old Lego blocks, I am getting old ;) ), so I can't be sure. As for BZFlag, I have seen him, but not often. He usually has been on his own servers when I have seen him.

Sure, I'll be there. I have seen my lag beat that, so it might not be a problem, but either way I will be there and I'll see how far I can go.

I am up for this, after all, I have done this before ;)

Only thing is, what will the lag threshold be? I got a 56k and need to know whether I can stand it or not.

.bzw is just another extension for world files, which are only text, so no, they can be opened with a text editor as well. As for the Linux version of BZEdit, I've heard compilation problems with it, so I am not sure if it can be compiled, but there is a makefile included.

Jeez, you guys have the most weirdest and difficult keys :) I use mouse to move around, and joystick in CVS versions, tab to jump, z to drop flag, right mouse to lock on/respawn, space to fire, and f12 to quit quickly (I mean, to show the cheat menu ;) ). The rest I barely, if ever use, such as bino...

It should show just on top of the aim box (the thin white box in the center of the screen) in small print.

I use emachines mouse. I just bought an emachines computer about 1 year or two ago, and it was just a complete package: monitor, keyboard, CPU, and mouse, but it works nicely. Just like any other mouse.

Project file for Dev-C++...

Alright, Dev-C++ is for GNU/Linux and for Windows, so I thought I could help people get a jump start on compiling BZFlag with this IDE by sharing my project files. Dev-C++ isn't very popular, but I am trying to help as much as I can. I have posted files for 1.11.6 and 1.10.x in their respective fold...

I am kind of confused, if you mean that there aren't compilers available for Windows, that isn't true. I built that with Mingw32, and even fixed all the warnings for compatibility. But I will add a binary anyway. DTRemenak: There are many reasons, one being Workaphobia's reason. Another, is perhaps ...

C++ app to remove map file comments...

I created a C++ source code to remove comments from map files, and optionally remove blank/empty lines. Comments are removed if they take up an entire line, or they are appended to a line elsewhere in the map file. I fixed all -Wall GCC warnings, so it should work nicely :) I added a .zip file conta...

Viper: It's harder to type the callsign than to type the IP :) I did make a patch to just auto-complete "/poll ban|kick" that would just append the current hunt selection, but it never did get accepted, but then again it is understandable as it's a cheap hack since it takes advantage of so...

But that's what's fun about it -- getting a lot of easy kills, making the other team furious at you, and capturing their flag helplessly! :)

"Pipes" Capture-the-flag map....

Alright, my new masterpiece is a CTF map that "holes", "cubbies", "tunnels", etc... make up a big '+' and connect all the bases, and it has teleporters to go out of the '+', and a bunch of stuff you usually don't see for CTF, or FFA/Rabbit I may add. It has sort of like...

A rainy day on the field...

I modified my client to make it look like a rainy day as the weather when playing BZFlag. Really, all I did was have nighttime scenery have a blue daytime sky. Hope you like it.

PS: The image is much smaller than the actual size of the screen because of my slow 56k connection :)

I believe he meant that by thiefing shots, as in shooting thief at a shot and then having the shot go back towards the original shooter, except you would get the kill if it hits someone. That's what I meant. Sounds like a ton of fun.

Thief, or any other flag for that matter, can be limited in shots. Just configure it on the server. As for your idea of thiefing bullets from enemies, that sounds good. It would probably start with allowing all bullets to be stolen, and the server could limit what type of shots can't be.
