Castle warfare by DW! It's so easy to get a lot of kill counts when you just sit in their base and kill them all with ST...that and laser sniping :D

I don't know what my highest score on that server is, since I keep changing sides when opponents leave.

High speed, Tiny, and Thief will aid you greatly. GMers are especially afraid of the Thief flag 8) Another trick that hasn't been mentioned: Shoot the GMer. The shot stops homing once the tank that fired it is dead, and normal shots move faster than GMs. Of course, this only works sometimes because ...

I agree with Sky King. Capping when you have too many people is no fun. BUT! On those servers where as soon as one team has too many people, CTF gets disabled, I have seen people join the observers just so that their team didn't get capped. For instance, I'm right near my base with their flag, teams...

I chose laser, not because it's the most powerful but because it's the most fun. (Point and click destruction!) The most powerful varies from server to server, so it's difficult to choose that way.

Why is it mutually exclusive to have one overall champion and a few champions who are only good at one type? If you hold two seperate sets of tournaments, then the people who play pillbox too much would drift into the "you only have to be good at pillbox" area, and then the all-around good...

Whenever I see a new flag drop down, I look to see who was last killed and what they had. If it's a GM or something, I drop what I have and take the new one. A very useful way to abuse this fact.

The problem is, you want to keep noobs away from Geno, but you want the experienced players attacking the Geno. So sometimes, saying "Stay away from Geno" is meant to simply deter the newbies and give others more room. Also, you can't expect these people who tell you to stay away to know w...

I had the same problem, tried a small box, lost accuracy, went to a bigger box, got fragged at least 1,000,000 times, and went back to the keyboard

I think the problem with me is instinctive. I often find myself trying to turn quickly and my cursor is only halfway as far as it can go.

I always hang around areas with lots of platforms of different heights, just for this reason. At any given moment, I can jump up and be safe! This works especially well on Badgerking's where there's that very very low platform with pyramids on top. In that situation, it is actually better to jump wh...

The only thing I've changed on my radar is changing the size of the bullets.

I've found the three preset zooms to be adequate, sometimes I zoom out to 3 just to get a general idea where everyone is, and then go immediately back to 2. All I need, really.

In the "defensive" format, you'd have to make the flags spray out in all directions. Otherwise it would generate large piles of flags and you could gobble them all up at once.

Very cool idea though 8)

But I like the Jump-in-and-Go type atmosphere he's talking about. There could easily be 10 or so such tournaments, one for each format, and they could happen pretty often (Like once every month). Then, the winners' names would go up on right of the sign in screen until the next tourney. Granted this...

First off, the flag is only really crazy on planet MoFo. If you really can't handle it, move to a different server. But when I play Planet MoFo, I just ignore the wing-a-ling tanks if possible. If one corners me, I run under the centerpiece cake type buiding and shoot it out. (Not much flying potent...

I use mainly the defaults, with a few tweaks. Space = Shoot Tab = Jump Q = Drop flag W = Lock on Your thumb rests on the spacebar, and your pointer finger goes on Q, ready to reach over to W if need be. (If you think you'll drop too many GMs, you can put it further away, but I'm used to it know and ...

P.S. @ Joe-Schmoe: Was I on when you had to face the attack? if so, chances are I was commanding it.
I didn't check, sorry. All I know is that there were 2 teams of 2 cloakers headed at the base at the same time. 8) [/quote]

I have seen this strategy used against me, and it is pretty rough to defeat, even if you see it coming. I don't think Tking is a huge problem, if the players are experienced enough you should be able to succed 2 out of 3 times. The only problem I see is that the player who grabs the flag won't be cl...
