You put all .a files in C:\Dev-Cpp\lib\ and all .h in C:\Dev-Cpp\include\ that are from downloaded libraries (such as SDL in this case). Where did you get libCURL from? Inside the Dev-C++ update window or from curl.haxx.se? The latter is recommended (for right now) as it is the most recent version a...

and moreover, make sure you can see the bullets on radar. The default (or smallest if different) is these tiny little specs (and I have 20/20 near vision, far is worse but not important), so keep 'em big enough to see on radar but not too big because you will think they are closer than they really a...

Green Manalishi Same here. It was a lot of fun to patrol that server. I do remember that there were a lot of white supremists that wrote bad /report's. There was once a Democrat that came on and wrote anti-Republican stuff. It is sad that people take out politics on computer games than to their gov...

I don't like it either. I feel it is adding too much complexity to the game. Just leave it the way it is: sign on, shoot some tanks, done.

Speaking of the older days, I remember when Freedomlives was "the place." It is interesting to see what servers are the top ones and see them fade away too and be replaced as it is interesting to wonder why some explode with popularity and others never make it.

Lowering the self destruct time would be a nuissance because anybody could just self destruct when they are about to get killed. I would lose a point whether they killed me or I self destructed, but self destructing means they don't get a point, so the choice to self destruct is a much smarter one i...

/poll can be used to request polls on certain things, but what it can be called on is not modifiable as of writing. /poll can be used with: flag reset -- reset all flags, same thing as "/flag reset" kick|ban CALLSIGN -- self explanatory. bans for an administrator set amount of time, defaul...

It's only cheating if you have an advantage that a stock client doesn't have, like flying without wings flag or something. Changing the colors of a tank isn't giving any advantage, if anything it just adds confusion because the label for the tank doesn't match the visual color.

Make sure that the folder titled /data/ is in the same directory as the BZFlag program is, and makes sure that the directory /data/fonts/ exists. BZFlag automaticallly looks for such a directory, so there is no other configuation needed.

If you ever want to continue with compiling it, or ever have any further questions/complaints/suggestions/anything, feel free to tell me. Maintaining Dev-C++ files for BZFlag is my passion, not my stress.

That's quite weird because cURLManager.cxx in /common/ fixes them. Try recompiling ServerList.cxx and any other file that gives those errors (make Dev-C++ recompile them by just typing a letter in the file and deleting it, just so dev-c++ thinks you changed it). Often times that works. Either way, I...

RPG: I updated both BZAdmin project files a few minutes ago, so CVS update as they fix those linker errors. However, I misread "curses" as "curl," so you will need to check if you have "libcurses.a" in your "/lib/" folder of Dev-C++ as that will fix the Curses...

Did you download the CURL library from this link: http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/cplusplus/? Did you put all the files in the right places, including "libcurl.a" in the "/lib/" folder of Dev-C++? IIRC it is already compiled, but if libCURL still needs to be compiled from source, sim...

Dev-C++ compiles it, and I just updated the files last night, so it should work well. You will need to download the PDCurses library and put its files in the correct places (which is covered in the Dev-C++ readme file), but the rest is a piece of cake as you just let it compile like all the others. ...

No, not at all. "Oops" being wrong or not is just opinion that varies from person to person, hence there is no and never will be a "verdict."
