Paintball League

I'm thinking of starting a paint ball league. I am going to make a new map with more of a paint ball concept to it. I know that a lot of people are not too interested in joining another league, but I want to post here to see what people think about it.

So what do you BZFlagers think?

There are already too many leagues. Having tried to start one myself about a year ago, I can say from experience that it will not work.

This is true, I've seen many leagues fall. How active where the players on your map? Did they seem to enjoy it and keep coming back?

There were quite a few. I would say that most of our players were from the GU and DUC league, but just didn't have time to handle another league in the end.

well another things is how much the players like the map. because the players don't like the map they wont like the league. make sure the map is good and people will like it or else your league is going down

ppl liked mofo league for a while then it just became inactive same with the bz soccer league

The Mofo league went down for awhile and still is currently.

I know that from seeing the new paintball servers that are up now, I think that a Paintball League would not be a bad idea. It could be, maybe, 3v3+ action, and it would be loads of fun. If you are successful at creating this league, I would most definitely join. Even if it fails, it would be fun while it lasts.

I plan on making a completely different map for the league, I will have screen shots posted once I get under way with the map.

I love the paintball map, and it seems great for a league. However, I think it would be better to take out the superflags for match servers. If you do make one, I'd be in.

I totally agree Quantum Tank. Paintball maps should not have Laser flags or Shock Wave flags in them. It's just not Paintball =p.

Another question: Will it be CTF, FFA, or something totally new?

It will be CTF. I plan on getting started with the map soon. Thanks for the support and I believe I just may make this into a league.

Wait a minute.... is this going to be a new map? So far I have seen 2 seperate maps called "paintball." Is this going to be a new map or one of those?

But anyways, no matter what map it is, I have an idea to make it more interesting, not just another ctf league. We should use a plugin (makable in 3.0 I am told) to make it so that when you shoot a person on the other team, his tank changes color to go on your team (this would only be temporary of course, the actual teams of players made of the website would still be intact), and the only way to win is to switch all players to your team. I know this plugin is possible to make, although not untill 3.0. So, we could wait until then, or just make a league now with just CTF.

Like I've said before it sounds cool, but I think that would get pretty "tiresome". It wouldn't be the same old CTF. And it can get quite annoying if you where to keep switching teams while you play, I'm not sure if people like to switch teams every time to get kill/or kill someone else.

If I tell you that, it will ruin the surprise. It will be a freshly made map. I have no idea when it will be releases. I've been really tight on time lately.

there aren't many paintball maps and they r awesome
