National BZflag League(NBL)
yea another league =P
very experimental ...
just an idea to see if anyone would be interested .
okay here it is :
1. - the tournament is for USA peeps only .
2. - it uses a graphic-territorial ladder , a block chart , and a point system .
3. - uses the positive-point system too . but points represent economic points(buying power).
4. - blocks and points are awarded to match winners . 1 block for each win . this translates to 10% of the state territory , which is represented accordingly on the geographic chart . losing state forfeits 1 block(which means 10% any held territory) to winning state . it must be agreed on before the match which territories are being played for , otherwise the winner choses . in the event of a tie , no territory will be exchanged .
5. - blocks(territory) and points can be traded , like commodities . as long as both parties agree to the terms .
6. - points can be used to aquire neutral state territory . 10points = 10% of a neutral state . anyone can purchase this land , if it hasn't already been claimed by another state . you can buy or fight your way to dominating the map .
neutral states are states that are not participating in the tournament .
7. - point scale for matches(battles) as follows :
3 pts. for winner , 2 points for tie , 1 point for loser
8. - state teams can wager for additional points or territory before a match . both teams must agree . and you cannot bet more than you have .
9.- if a state loses all its core territories , it will start to lose its points . once all the points in the states' bank is exhausted , it will then start losing territory in it's adjacent neutral states . a state team must regain these satellite territories before it can win back any of its' core territories .
10. - only the first ten teams will be entered in the tourny , with the possible addition of 2 alternate teams . only 1 team per state , with a minimum of 2 players per team ; however , there is no maximum team size limit .
that's it . ten simple rules . heh .
i was thinking about doing a conventional tornament ladder , with a sort of SuperBowl finale ..but i thought it might be cool to try something new ;)
yes/no/maybe?

hehe, wow did you come up with this yourself? that sounds really freaking cool! probabally one of the best ideas i have ever heard! lets use it for iLeague, like a tournament, and everytime the map is filled up we crown a champ, and then we reset it and do it again.
but i take it you probabally don't want to use it in iLeague...
sounds a lot like RISK though, you should name it BZRISK or RISK League

remember the league site?!? That's were we have been talking about it. Anteater and I have been bouncing ideas of each other and making a website for it. We haven't talked to Rc Cola about it, or I would be more Gungo-ho about it. Yo RC you can reach me at kalen0matic@yahoo.com, or kalen0matic Y!M lets talk about this alot...
p.s. Florida RULES! No texas can't even come close.

This actually sounds like a pretty cool idea. California would like grey, please - our grey goo will spread all over the map (if you don't get it, look at the wikipedia entry).

the worst you can ever give, I can take. trust me... been there done that.
I've not got time to deal it out, but I sure can take it.
Now back to our NBL discussion.
Cola, am I getting this straight... Its not State vs. State, just various areas in america vs other various areas.
