GU Team Practice: The Matrix

Post by brad » Sat Aug 31, 2013 8:56 pm

Reptiles Organization (RO) has released the "GU Team Practice: The Matrix" map (reptiles.hopto.org:5000). It features a plugin specifically for enhancing team practice by allowing you to travel back in time to re-do a fight or spawn anywhere. Never waste time spawning again!

/rewind X brings everybody back in time roughly X seconds - flags, scores, tanks (but not match countdown) return to their previous state.
/alive spawns you anywhere on the map e.g. '/alive rb' or '/alive -340 0 30 3.14' gets you to red base.

Its uses are endless!
-Play a practice match, and rewind time in order to teach someone a strategic mistake and let them correct it.
-Practice pyr shots, corner fight or base fight against a peer with no downtime.
-Great fun for messing around.

Normal GU server rules apply. Please be respectful of other users.

Fantastic plug-in! c:

I personally recommend this map for team praticing. Recently I used the plug-in by training with a reptile. We were basefighting. And whenever one of us died, we rewinded back into previous posistions. Saves time, right? Or we just teleported (/alive) to the coordinates where we wanted to be. I find this plug-in significant when learning anything.

Come test it! :D

Must be a glitch in the matrix.

Possibly. I did try to /rewind about three times in a row.

Can some Laser flags be added to the map (or TH with longer "life") to show/learn ricos? That is the easies way to show how shots will bounce off objects.
Maybe even a plugin that shoots a long-life TH right before the actual shot so that players can see where the shot is going, yet have a second or so to dodge, or try to dodge it.
Rest in peace, AliceD (AKA Happy Alice)! miss ya!
