FPS Problem and Antivirus 2012 Problem

Post by Starski »

my fps keeps going from 1-59 constantly, /localset fpsLimit 90 doesnt work, energy saver is on.
i dusted out my compter to see if it was over heated, nothing, one of the problems might be that i downloaded something called Driver Tool ever since then some thing called Windows Antivirus 2012 keeps popping up which is definitely a scam, after that my fps had problems the next day i got rid of it and scanned my computer but nothing happened.

Not a BZFlag issue... sounds like you still have spyware on your pc. Try running SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition and MalwareBytes Free Edition on your machine (if it will let you, spyware often will not allow those apps to even start). They can be found here: http://www.superantispyware.com/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

This may help as well... It is a tech article with recommendations from Microsoft on how to remove the AntiSpyware 2012 malware application from your machine: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/f ... d1a5606c34 These applications change themselves pretty fast to avoid detection and removal so be sure to read the comments on that post to look and see if anyone has any "new" tricks required to remove it.

If they do't run you definatelly have a spyware prdblem and need to seek help on forums that deal with that issue. Just Google AntiSpyware 2012 and you will find plenty of them.

I don't even call that thing spyware. I call it a virus. It infects your computer and then tells you that you have "viruses" and need to pay them money to "fix" your computer. Some of the variants are VERY nasty and hard to kill. I'd recommend booting to safe mode when cleaning the infection or you might not be able to run any tools to get rid of it.
