Outbox

When I send a PM via the forums, some send right away, some are sent to my outbox and sent but on a delay, and some stay in my outbox and never get sent. Why is this?

The messages stay in your outbox until they are read by the recipients.

More specifically, if you send a message to several recipients, as soon as one of them reads it, the message goes to "Sent messages", no matter if the others do it or not. Also, you can still edit it until this happens (just don't take much time because they can read it just before you send the modifications and then they won't apply!
