Question about http://leaguesunited.org/admins

Post by trpted »

At that URL I see different titles for different jobs.

#1 What exactly do these people do:

a) Developers

b) Referees - this job I think I know, see the next question below.

c) Cops

d) Administrators

e) League Council

?

#2 Also why only one Referee?

As that does not seem fair to the different teams who play.

As another Referee ( let us say in a real game of Football. Go Eagles! Oh, never mind the Eagles did not make to the play-offs. I think play-offs is what it is called), who ever that might be, might see something that the other Referee does not and keeps the game balanced / fair.

Please and thank you

- Developers: people who actively write or formerly wrote code for the league or host league servers
- Referees/Cops: people who can kick troublesome players and can enter/review matches manually (I think). Can also temporarily ban players so they can cool off
- Administrators: Like cops/referees but can ban players for longer periods of time
- Council: The players who make all the executive decisions and organize events regarding the league

---

The league doesn't have referees in the traditional sense where one needs to be present for a match to take place. We have recordings of all the matches that take place if admins/council need to evaluate an incident. Otherwise, players self-police during matches and there really aren't any "illegal moves" in BZ other than cheating.

Thank you, allejo for responding to this post.
Referees were a thing of the past in the OL, Ducati & Gu leagues. They were specific players given perms to post match results to the respective league sites. Players often had to send match results via the league site or forums to get matches posted. Particularly loathesome when the leagues were in their heyday. The timestamp was important for accuracy in team standings. Players were anxious to have their matches posted asap.
So thankful to allejo for his coding work and we now have auto reporting of matches and more through LeagueOverSeer plugin
