Name Issues

In the client, I often go under the name ??? Lauria. I only did that in the first place because the name ??? wouldn't work.

When I signed up for the forums, since the name ??? did work there, I used that.

However, since I didn't know at the time that the client needs the forum name to be registered, I can't get any registration benefits without sockpuppeting.

I'd like to know if there is anyway to get the name ??? to work in the client, because not only is the non-registration annoying, but because of my last name (Lauria), people are constantly thinking I'm female.

I know one can change their forum name, but I'm only going to do that if there is no way that the name ??? can work in the client.

the name contains no letters, it is invalid for the client.

Isn't there any fix for that? I don't exactly get why that's an issue in the first place.

No, there is no fix. It was designed that way. It was decided by the developers that all callsigns are required to have at least one letter.

I think that was an attempt at the word "pseudonym". or a fancy way of saying "pick another name"

You can just go to your profile page and choose another name. It's easy and will only take you 30 seconds.
