X11 driver not configured with OpenGL

Post by GMMan »

I finally compiled BZFlag (it was a huge pain....), but when I tried to run it I got the following message:

Code: Select all

sh-3.00# bzflag
Could not set Video Mode: X11 driver not configured with OpenGL.
Error creating window - Exiting
sh-3.00#
I'm using Puppy Linux 2.15CE with kernel modules, OpenGL, and DRM module installed via 3DCC. Is there a way to configure X with OpenGL?
I haven't touched BZFlag for years, but maybe sometime I'll make a comeback.

I'm on Twitter. And I mess with webOS. This signature is not a blog.

what video card you do you have?

X gets it's openGL from the video driver. If your driver dosn't provide an accelerated GL setup, then you can install mesa.
