BZFlag can't resolve DNS addresses

Post by Snake Plissken »

I recently upgraded to Tiger from Panther (Quicksilver 2002, yeah I know I'm behind the curve) and when did that BZFlag stopped working correctly (this was a fresh install, with BZFlag 2.0.10).
It seems that there is a DNS address issue since I can only connect to games with a numeric IP address. It looks like this only affects BZFlag and no other programs (I'm not sure yet though).

Any easy solutions?

Thanks

If I were you, I'd try looking up a problematic non-numeric bzflag
server address with another program. E.g., with 'dig', 'nslookup' or
'host' at the command-line, or by using Network Utility.

If that doesn't work, you know it's likely not a bzflag specific issue.
